My father hasn't said I am proud of you for years ;-( In fact he goes out of his way to make me feel like **** every time I see him.

I don't remember anyone ever saying they were proud of anyone during Thanksgiving. But my Dad always said grace before we ate during which he gave thanks for all of his blessings. That includes his kids.
I had great parents while growing up. I always just assumed everyone did. It was a little shocking when I became a teenager and found out how few of my friends had good parents. I was far luckier than I ever realized.

Um, hold on....how about NEVER!! He's told me in the past he's proud of me. But we never had many Thanksgiving dinners together. I can count on one hand the amount of TG dinners we had, might be 2 I think....jeez, how pathetic!

My father rarely says outright that he is proud of me but he makes me feel that he is proud of me everyday by saying "I wouldn't have asked God for you in any other way. I love you".= )
