He is the ultimate sacrifice because he willingly paid the price for our sins. God's judgment has fallen on someone else. You should be happy.

I suppose you must first understand Jewish tradition and religious practices at the time of Jesus life on earth.
Not every Jew had great resources to offer as a sacrifice when they went to temple. If they had money, lands and goods, they generally had sheep. Sheep also could be bought and sold at market for the purpose of sacrifice. the ultimate sacrifice was a lamb that had been separated from the herd , so that it could be be involved in any breeding attempt. This lamb was also separated to keep from getting deceased by contact with other animals. It was considered as pure as could be. It was used as a sacrificial lamb.
Jesus, was also perfect, without blemish, considered by His Father to be the only sacrifice worthy of all of the sin of mankind.
I do not have the mind of God, to be sure what He was thinking, but He knew that we did not think like Him so the things he did and said, were said so we would understand. We understand that this ordeal of suffering and death, was so that we would have meaning and purpose to our lives. None of us will have to be sacrificed on a Cross. Praise God.

First off- his life wasn't a walk in the park- he had followers and he also had a lot of people who didn't so much like what he was saying. Besides that- he took on the pains of the world and healed many- that doesn't sound like a walk in the park. Christ is a part of God and was perfect- he went to the cross- which he wasn't excited about but he did it anyways- he saw his disciples forsake him (ya know the ones you say were devoted to him)- and he took on the sins of the world- he did nothing to deserve death, especially death on a cross. Jesus' death was the ultimate sacrifice

Christ is God, part of the triune Godhead. Always has been with the Father and Spirit eternally.
Even though the physical death on the cross was incredibly horrible way to die, the spiritual death Christ felt was the real torment.
When he cried out to the Father, " My God, My God, Why have you forsaken me? ", it was at that very moment when the sins of the whole world past, present and future were laid upon him.
In our sinful human mind, that may not seem like a big deal, but to an infinitely holy God, to have all the uglinesses of sin and the consequences it has on the heart, depression, loneliness, fear, and every horrible feeling man has ever felt in his sinful state, Christ felt at that very moment. God the father had to separate himself from Christ, turn away from him because of the sin that was on him.
Christ, who is God holy and has been one with and in fellowship the Father eternally, was alone in sin separated from God for the first time.
That is what the ordeal was.
And one more thing, God wanted to go through our pain and our human experience for himself and for us.
When people say, why can't God just forgive us? Well, his holiness demand justice. God, being infinite, could have worked it out anyway he wanted, but I believe he wanted to share our experience, pain and sorrow. I believe he wanted to really get our perspective in the truest since, not just know it through his omniscience, but really go through the human experience. I would say that is genuine love. He didn't have to share our experience, he wanted to.
And, yes, I know all about the blood atonement needed. I understand that part, I am just giving another aspect of God's loving heart. He is all powerful, infinite. He's the one set the rules of the law to begin with. He knew the end from the beginning in eternity past. I think he could have done it anyway he wanted to, but he choose this way to demonstrate his love to us.

Most of Jesus people did not believe in Him. The religious leaders are the ones who wanted to crucify Him.
Do you know of any person who would choose to die as He did for you or me? His own deciples were afraid and ran in fear. They did come back and realized their misttake for they were human. He was treated badly here on earth. He did not have a bed to call His own.
God planned from the beginning of time that His son would be a sacrifice for all men. he did it all willingly.

Yes, compared to eternity, 34 years is not that much at all. However, it was enough time to pay the price for our redemption.
Man is separated from God because of sin. Fellowship was broken and the wages of sin is death. Man could not buy his way to righteousness through good works, deeds or rituals. The payment was death. But God provided a loophole, that a substitution could be made. This is where the sacrificial lamb became necessary. Your sins were passed onto the lamb, and the lamb took your payment for sin.
This was a foreshadow for He who was to come. For as Abraham said, "God will provide Himself the Lamb." This was seen when John the Baptist pointed to Jesus and proclaimed "Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world."
If we ask Jesus to be Lord and Savior, we are, in essence, passing our sins onto Him as our personal lamb. Our payment was paid in full on the cross. Which is why Jesus said "Tetelestai" or "paid in full" (commonly translated as "it is finished").
So, with sin paid in full, we now have access to the throne wherein we can cry Abba, Father to the Almighty God. It is through Christ that our sins have been removed and thrown into the deepest ocean and as far as the East is from the West.
1 Cor. 15:1-4
I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.

The death of jesus is NOT the untimate sacrifice for us. don't delude yourself. Its the church leaders that want you to believe that. The ultimate sacrifice in your case is if you gave up your life i.e.: as a soldier in battle. i saw the stupidity of Christianity man years ago and how they use that book they call a bible to control.....it doesn't work on me any more....i've grown up and become wise...i suggest you do the same. Its never to late.

A regenerated spirit was the only way for salvation for man, and there had to be human sacrifice, a human with no spot or blemish, so God sent His son, through the virgin birth to be that human, and pay the price. after he was crucified, he arose, and carried His blood to the Father, for a blood atonement.

It isn't. Jesus died because he was thought to be a troublemaker. God has no children.
