I think I can laugh before I read the answers as they'll jump again.
Why are my questions answered by people at a rate of %70 atheists, %30 theists? Regarding the fact that there are less than %15 atheists what does this show to us?
Are they trying to enlighten people because they are very bright (they just happen to know everything without any need to explore) or they need to relax by talking about it?
I AM REALLY CURIOUS WHY?

PS: I got lots of anwers like this. Jumpy answers...
Q: How merciful is the creator?

Well, this *is* the R&S section, and it's open to people of all belief systems or no belief system at all. Maybe the atheists are reacting to our questions in the same way that they perceive Christian witnessing -- just trying to get their views across.

And some atheists actively hate Christians and Christianity, so a question from one of us is a chance to vent their anger and bitterness against what they feel is the bad treatment they've received from believers. We've seen plenty of that around this Forum.

But for the most part, I think they just want to make their opinions known, the same as everyone else. I'll be interested in seeing the replies you get from the atheists.

"they just happen to know everything without any need to explore"

Explore what? Christianity? Oh yeah, that is such a mysterious religion. One can only hear about it in whispers. I really need to go out of my way to explore Christianity. Why is it that so many Christians seem to think that atheists have just never given it a chance? As if we're atheists out of spite or something.

Oh, and you get trite answers when you ask trite questions and sanctimonious questions are propped up nicely for ridicule.

Mocking others isn't a way to convey an honest question.

We answer more questions because we have more answers.

Although I suppose you theists could answer every question with God... why don't you try that?

Atheists get annoyed when you quote the same straw man argument 20 times without even reading the sources you're providing.

What, as in the example you gave, else is an atheist supposed to say? The question was short, with no details, and the answer was short and to the point. If you want more involved answers I suggest that you broaden your question.

The percentages are meaningless because they are assumptions based on assumptions.

I'm sure that most that claim atheism and give non-sensical answers like that, are not truly atheists, rather kids bored from their summer break. Some also are agnostic, like myself. So not all of the contradictory answers to theist questions are from actual atheists.

Sane, rational, moral and socially conscious people ARE concerned about the gullibility, willful ignorance, self-delusion, intellectectual dishonesty and drooling stupidity that pervades our society. Since those things, taken together, together pretty much DEFINE religion, it is only natural that we should be concerned about it.

to say "atheists" is probably wrong, i for one don't believe in religion, but i feel as if i were spiritual. most of those so called atheists, have more spirituality then religion. if you want to believe, believe, but to use a whole, like "atheists" is in itself if wrong, it's like saying all christains, or muslims get wasted at church to deal with they families. it's not true, and neither is your question.

Atheism is a religious position. As atheists, what else are we going to talk about?
