i have had really dry skin all my life and it seems the plder i get the worse it gets. right now i am putting it on once a day and occasionaly i will have to put extra on just incase when i go somewhere. but right now i am using straight cocoa butter and it helps but it wears off easy, too. but my main problem i have right now is my hands and feet. b/c i can handle the other parts of my body. but my feet are really dry and they feel like sand papaer and i have like sharp things on the bottom of my heels, and i dont know what it is, like one way i can rub them and it is smooth and the other way they feel sharp, or rough. how do i make my feet softer? and look better?

You have cracked heels - the skin has thickened & small fissures have formed. Kerasal ointment is the best for dry feet.

After you shower use a foot paddle to remove dry skin and rinse your feet. Then pat them dry & apply a heavy duty moisturizer like Kerasal.

When the weather is cooler you can apply the moisturizer & wear socks to bed so it can really soak in.

for the feet, buy a pumice stone and rub that around the rough areas when you're in the shower, and then use a thicker foot cream to lotion your feet. As for the other dry skin areas, just keep using lotions for really dry skin, i put on lotion all the time because I hate the feeling of dry hands (prolly 5 or 6 times a day). Good luck!

I use to have really dry skin also. I washed my face with Cetaphil and used Eucerin lotions. Use a pumice stone on your feet and moisturize a lot. I also use a heavier moisturizer sometimes at night on my feet and wear light socks. You can do this for your hands also.

for ur feet put lotion on them and cover with socks and them put ur shoes on. my are extremely soft by the end of the day. it keeps the moisture in that can't excape. for ur hands go to bath and body works and get the stuff for ur hands. i forgot whats its called but it has a salty mixture in with all kinds of oils. u put a little dap in the palm of ur hand and both together. wash with warm water and then put some lotion on them my oh my....talking about a good feeling. if that doesn't work try MARY KAY satin hands. it has a 1 2 3 steps. love it love it. go get a pedicure and manicure. if nothing else.

Me too! Since forever. The dermotologist says that you need to use Cetaphil or Eucerin (cream not lotion) and put it on while you're still wet from the shower (don't dry off too much). It doesn't do much good to put cream on while you're dry. I like Cetaphil because it's not greasy. It's even ok for your face!
