Why need we have continued researching after we had the electric valve? Did what we have work so well that there was no need to develop first the transistor and then microprocessor technology?

Indeed, if you think that a discovery has to be static if it's to mean anything, would we ever have got past the point where hitting one stone against another makes a spark?

I have no problem with that.

Religion does not change, but our understanding of it does.

Science does not change, but our understanding of it does.

Catholics are not anti-Science, but we do not blindly accept any theory either.

Exactly how we were created is not the issue with us, we still believe we were created by God.

Peace!

Plant a seed, any seed, in soil. I assume you understand, through former experience, that the planted seed, under the good auspices of soil, sun, air, and water, will germinate into a perfect representative of its kind (and only its kind), in time.

The principles uncovered by scientists that govern the relationship between mass, gravity, time, and the curvature of space to produce black holes have been in perfect operation just as eternally before their discovery of those principles as is the frequency upon which you enjoy listening to your favorite music; indeed, existent ever since the Universe cooled it into resonance along with the infinite gradations of frequency radiating beside it. These principles HAD to have been in operation just as perfectly BEFORE we discovered how to harness them into technology as they presently operate now.

Or we would not be able to continue to utilize them for our technology today, much less build them into technological improvements tomorrow!

Ask the Endeavor shuttle astronauts, who like their predecessors, ‘slipped the surly bonds of Earth’ on their epic missions, if the Earth is still flat.

Concurrently, the very principles that perfectly and scientifically govern the germination of seeds, the formation of black holes, the sound of music, the addition of 2+2, and even what appears to you as technological advances, ALSO operate to perfectly present your experience of these phenomena to yourself.

You learned how to drive by hearing, feeling, and SMELLING the gears grind in protest....and THEN slowly experiencing, through your OWN UNASSISTED EFFORT, what the tool (called the automobile) is supposed to do when you operate it "masterfully".

You learned how to ride a horse the same way.

You learned how to plant seeds this way.

You learned how to do math this way.

You learned how to speak your first language and others, afterward, in this manner.

Another may tell you or show you, but YOU must do the work of discovery! The same with your very own Spirit, which, being your portion of the Father, Himself, will take you to inner destinations, the likes of which are not to be rivaled by any technological advance. It is simply a matter of uncovering (we call it discovering) what has ALWAYS been the latent, patient TRUTH about reality.

YOU are the technology!!

Technology's definitely benefited by scientific discoveries. That's mainly because technology pays for them and provides the motivation for them through marketing the products, financing research, et al.

Microprocessors? How about something as simple as candles? Those didn't just fall out of the sky.

god gave man a wonderful mind, and the ability to think for ourselves. in fact even to this day we use but a fraction of our mental capabilities. one of the things god gave us is curiosity. he wants us to learn about the world around us. he wants us to improve what we are.

Science evolves, changes and enhances. Religion does not.
