im getting my upper lip waxed and i was wondring how long it would stay red and if would become bumpy???
btw- i have sensative skin

I have sensitive skin too & my skin stayed red for about 2-4 hours afterwards when I started waxing. It's much better these days. Here are some tips:
1) Avoid having your upper lip waxed during the week before your period. The hormonal shift makes some women more sensitive to pain.
2) Do not drink any caffeine at least 24 hours before the appointment to minimize redness.
3) Let the esthetician know you have sensitive skin - she may opt to let the wax cool a bit more before applying it.
4) Apply a cool compress afterwards & stay out of the sun.
5) Aloe vera or Aquaphor Healing Ointment can help sooth your skin too.
If you are using Retin-A or any other acne medication that thins the skin, don't get your upper lip waxed. The wax may tear off some skin.

There are products you can by at the drug store or even walmart to do this yourself. Small wax strips that are easy to use. It will stay red for a few hours but shouldnt give you bumps. The best bet is to do this at night before bed so all of the redness is gone when you get up in the morning.

if you have sensitive skin, i'd guess it might stay red for a few hours, and you'll have a higher chance of bumpies, but other than that, i'm not sure. good luck!

it would be red for maybe an hour an hour and a half max.
no it wouldnt get bumpy.
i also have sensitive skin and i have waxed my upper lip.
i didnt get bumps
u have nothing to worry bout!
