Why are you changing it--that sounds beautiful. But you could do a very similar color scheme in August. Sept 23 is when fall officially starts, but you could move it up to the beginning of Sept and still do fall as your theme (if you are worried about the weather). August still makes me think of the harvest though. Mostly the apple harvest with red and brown. July I think of peaches.

As for summer colors, bright colors and true colors. Yellow, apple red, blue. The flowers out in summer are bold and durable. The trees are darker green--more evergreen than kelly green. Of course I also think of nature colors like sand and ocean gray, the color of the sea oats with green and beige. I think of a lot of "weathered" colors--like when you distress furniture. Cadet blue or slate gray, both distressed. Nautical theme.

Earlier in the summer makes me think of bold colors but more tropical--turquoise, sunny yellow, patriotic red and blue, tangerine, fushias. I think of citrus fruits--like grapefruit, lemon, lime, the different colors on the outside as well as the inside. I don't like metalic in summer colors at all. It seems so fall to me. I do think of the A&F pairings of red and orange, green and pink.

My theme was Caribbean/tropical. But really so many people get married in summer (june july) that its more crowded on your honeymoon, harder to get the date you want, and since so many people get married then, whatever is your favorite color is normal in summer. So you see just as many bridesmaids dress in pastels as you do purple. Really depends on whatever color you like.

We just switched ours to october! which is funny since our theme is "fun in the sun" lol... fiance wants a barbeque theme :)

Our event is not a backyard barbeque, but a catered event that will just have a fun theme and fun food. We are more casual people so it will be nice for the guys to take off their jackets and ties.. kick off their shoes and knock some volleyballs around lol :)

It sounds trashier than it really is, but it really will be a nice event when all is said and done. We love fun, and we are both not loving the stuffyness of some receptions. It is just not us, so we are changing it up a bit.

We got married in June & had a beach wedding. Everyone flew to Laguna Beach & we had a ceremony on the sand. You can go to a hotel for the reception. THere are a LOT of beach themed favors, etc.

Calla Lily theme are great for any season...but the flower is the cheapest during the summer time...

Sage Green with a pale yellow accent along with calla lillies everywhere would be nice summer theme.

What colors were you going to use for the wedding when it was planned for the fall? Are you planning on sticking with these colors? For a summer wedding, use brighter, natural colors such as red, royal blue, orange, that sort of thing. Pastels are more for spring and darker colors are usually for fall and winter. Also, you may want to include some summer-time flowers in the bouquet(s) such as sunflowers and brightly colored lilies. Good luck!

FUN IN THE SUN...Beach...BBQ...Garden....or just use summer as the theme. Use bright fun colors and flowers everywhere! Or just pick the colors that you want and go elegant.
