See your Dr soon. It could be a number of things, maybe from straining, or a hemroid or something serious. Get it checked.

It happens. Bright red blood does not necessarily indicate something serious. The loss of appetite part is a little concerning though.
If it persists I would see the doctor about it. If the problem goes away and your apetite comes back, who knows. If it happens repeatedly, make the dr's appointment.
Regardless, mention it to the doc at your next visit. Also if you have history in the family, of ulcerative colitis, colon cancer, crohn's disease, or any other problems with the food pipe you may want to make an appointment anyway. Just to be on the safe side. Inflammatory bowel disease can produce problems like this too, and in my experience that is accompanied by loss of appetite. Lots of factors.

You need to see your doctor. As embarrassing as it may be, you need to let your doctor do a complete exam, including a rectal exam.
Sometimes a little bit of blood in the stool or found on toilet paper is normal (if you've been constipated). Being that you said you aren't constipated, nor are you on your period I definitely recommend an appointment with your doctor.
The fact the the blood was bright red leads me to believe that the bleeding is lower down - maybe internal hemorrhoids or fissures - neither of which are life threatening, but they can be painful.
This said, your bleeding could also be something more serious and deep rooted. Get into your doctor for an exam as soon as you can. It's better to be safe than sorry.
Good Luck. :-)

As long as the blood is bright red it is probably hemmroids or something in the lower colon, not as serious if the blood were dark colored. If it continues for more than 48 hours go to the doc. And yes it can be related to your loss of appetite.

bright red blood usually comes from hemorrhoids not a neoplastic process but it cant be ruled out. Loss of appetite can be contributed to a lot of things and yes the 2 could be connected. sounds like a colonoscopy might be in order for you to rule out intestinal cancer but you should talk to your doc and see what they have to say. it's hard without an age or other factors to consider....i don't think it's an emergency but you should have it checked at your earliest convenience

If you are having alot of bright red blood, then you need to go to the ER. If it is just a tiny amount of red blood, then you can wait and go to your physician, but do not wait any longer than 48 HRs.
If you ever see black or dark red blood, or clots, ever, you need to go to the ER STAT!
It sounds like you really need some testing to find out what is going on, loss of appetite and GI bleeding is never a good combo.

Please go to the doctor. Something is wrong for your bowel movement to have bright red blood in it. There could be a decrease in your appetite. This really sounds serious, and I implore you to go to the doctor on an emergency.

it could be a couple of different things. I would suggest going to your doctor to find out what it could be. I wouldnt want to scare you with something big when it might be harmless. But go to the doctor asap.

it may be a hemorrhoid. sometimes you cant even feel them when you have them, and they can leave it looking like something was murdered in the toilet.
you probably need to go to the doctor just to be sure though...
