1)I felt I did not have the right to live
2)(following years of domestic violence aimed at me)
3)yes
4)counseling and treatment for depression and sexual abuse
5) see 2

1) that did not enter my mind when in that mood
2)not at that time
3) I hated the unnamed something that was within me that
made me feel so inadequate and ugly and unworthy of life
I hated what my abuser told me I was - in that moment I
believed him. There was an urgency. I was in a panic to
remove whatever it was (I didn't know what)
(I think at that moment I was outside of reality)

Today I understand that my abuser was the evil one.
He had no right to harm me or to verbally tear me down.
He had no right to "use me" sexually against my will and to harm me.
Today, as a SURVIVOR, I know there is beauty within me as a person. I can now love and be loved. I do not live in fear, or guilt, or shame. I have HOPE.
And yes, I have found Jesus and the forgiveness offered me.

Hope you do well on your paper.

1. Relief- that the food is not going to ruin my diet or put weight on, but also disgusted with myself that I can't control my eating.

2. Desperate to lose weight (was 206, now 133)

2. Absolutely. Bulimics aren't always underweight. Compulsive overeaters are often obese, only anorexics have to be underweight to be diagnosed as anorexic

3.. I'll let you know when I do

4. When I was in school.. yes. But that was many years ago.

I don't harm myself (like cutting or anything) so I don't think I can answer any of the rest of the quesions.

For self harm:
1. yes
2. don't understand question
3. yes. I was sexually abused for my brother for 3 yrs. I cut my wrists as a way to cope with the emotional pain that I was harboring. I didn't know how to communicate how much I was hurting on the inside, so I subconciously was trying to get someone's attention through physical injury. The physical pain somehow relieved some of the emotional pain I was experiencing, and I also think maybe in a way I was trying to punish myself because I felt it was my fault. I was only able to overcome it with extensive counseling. I haven't cut on myself for over 5 yrs.

If you can get a copy of the interview with Angelina Jolie in the Actor's Studio on Youtube you will have a first hand account of a cutter.

I mention this interview in one of my articles.
