I was at a steakhouse yesterday and I decided to try something different - I would eat steak with my hands. No fork, no napkin. It really made it so much more enjoyable. You actually feel the meat and grease in your hands and in your mouth. Apparently, people complained and the restaurant refused service to me. Who was being rude her? Why do people have to look at me when I'm eating?

What third world country are you from? How about I sit next to you in a restaurant and keep sneaking silent farts while you try to eat. I'll pick my nose and fling the snot on floor also.

Sounds fishy; I'd say they'd first have asked you to use your knife and fork before kicking you out. Unless you were tearing it apart and making loud slobbering noises and such too, I guess that could be too much for a restaurant.

Try visiting an African (Ethiopian/Eritrean) eatery some time, I don't know whether there are any near you but I went to one with some friends just Tuesday and they served a large platter of food & some thin pancakes; you had to tear off a piece of the pancake and pick up some of the meat with that, off the main platter. No individual plates, no cuttlery... we did use napkins though afterwards! First time I'd ever eaten like that but it was quite fun.

Love to eat with my hands and so does my fiancee' but we generally do that at home. Restaurants are businesses and they have the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime for any reason. Hey, it might be a good way to get a bunch of free steaks!!!!

Most restaurants want to protect the atmosphere of their clients, so if they fell that something is disturbing that atmosphere, they will swiftly remove it. It's a pretty standard practice.

Do I agree with it? No. People really don't have to watch you eat. However, from the restaurants standpoint, if keeping you there is going to make them lose several more customers, you will unfortunately get the short end of the stick.

The resturant can't make you use utensils. And if people are complaining, the server or manager needs to tell them that. I asked my friend who is a server this question and that is what he said as he's had it happen. You wouldn't get kicked out where he works if you did. As long as your weren't a slob about it. Although it isn't the best idea to do, but hey, power to ya!!

Why would you want to look like a pig when you're out in public. Nobody wants to see disgusting things like that when they're eating. And not only is it disgusting but it's very inconsiderate to all those other people in the restaurant. Nobody wants to see that. They kicked you out because your manners were gross.

I hope for your sake that this is not a serious question. If it is a real question, I would probably think you were mentally challenged if I saw you eating a steak with your hands.

Lots of cultures eat with their hands..............

While I don't agree with what you did (or SAY you did), the restaurant is well within their rights to stop serving you.

Personally, I think this question is a wind-up...............
