We will be in the Daytona area this Saturday, are there any sites to see around the speedway without paying to go in, or are there are other cool places to see in the area?? Thanks!

they have a thrill park type of place it's called andretti something, it's not right in Daytona,but it is so fun, we went one year, there are lots of games and you get to race, check it out online
Melbourne, it's probably 30-40 miles??
Worth the trip though

Daytona Beach is awesome. When I was there, we rented 4-wheelers and rode up and down the water's edge. It goes on for miles! I've never been anywhere else on the east coast where you can drive on the beach. Too cool!!!

Nascar Cafe in Orlando or Kennedy Space Center in Titusville , both a about a hour away & both have virtual (way Kool) rides that are cheap in comparison to the major parks also look in to a day at Wet N Wild Water Park .

Pay the small admission fee and go into Daytona USA. It's well worth it if you are a Nascar fan.

When I go (from Orlando) I always drive the old beach road course. From A1A then along the beach back to A1A. though going 10mph is probably not the same

I guess the ocean and the beach is free.
Disney is just about 45 minutes down the road.
