Professional and $100 don't go together. You'll be lucky to get a high-8 camera used for $100. There's dozens of formats out there - MiniDV, hi-8, etc. By professional, and make a movie, what is your intended outcome? If it's a movie to put on a web site, you can get away with cheaper equipment than if you intend to make a movie that will show in the theatres.

If your budget is just $100 then you should either rent or borrow a camcorder, not buy it. Assuming that you are a reasonably responsible and ambitious individual then you should be able to locate one for rent or loan under these conditions.
However, if you are just some irresponsible loser then you should forget it all.
But if you do tend to be an irresponsible loser, but still want an opportunity at fame, then just write a killer script first and people will actually beat down your door to help you out in your production. This is a proven fact.

You must be out of your mind, you cant get a professional video cam with a $100 dollar bill. Try searching at some auction sites in the net and you might get a VHS-C format camera for half the price you said and get sick looking for a tape to use on that camera. Good Luck!

For $100 you could not get a Flip video camera & a good flash light. Try Ebay but don't hold your breath or expect good things (like the camera you buy to actually work).

if your friends have regular VHS home decks for cuts editing, then the best would be to get a used VHS camcorder that take the regular full size tapes. Are any of you young enough to be in school? most school a/v departments have both camcorders and edit gear of some description. it should not be too hard to get checked out for a weekend with teacher approval.
