Its about 80% wrong and over dramatic, and 20% right IMO. They're was some episode my wife was watching and it made us both laugh because one of the guys came home tired and the wife wanted to have sex or whatever and he was too tired and fell asleep half way on the bed. Also the same guy came home the next day tired and as he was going to sit down on the couch he tossed off a fire truck so he can sit down and it was soooo familiar because my son has tons of firetrucks and i have came home many a times to toss his firetrucks on the floor so that i can sit down. To me, its just another over dramamtic show to try to relate to the Army, maybe even exploit it, when they think they are helping. Just my 2 cents.

Okay, I was really excited about this show to come out...I watched the first show and that was it. I was really shocked that they wanted to portray army wives that way. It is nothing but a soap opera on an army base. Some of it is kind of accurate- yes, wives can be really gossipy, but that is ANY group of women, not only military wives. Yes, some women cheat on their husbands, but that, too is any spouse, not just military. Also, they don't assume everyone does it and just induct you into it the first night you are on post. The private's wives don't hang out with the higher ranking wives, nor do higher ranking wives get special privileges at hospitals, or px's or anywhere else. Nobody know what your husbands rank is, because we don't walk around with "Sergeant's wife" on our t-shirts. The majority of us respect the fact that our husband's rank is just that-- HIS rank, for HIS accomplishments. I was very disappointed in the show. I don't watch it, but I suppose it is entertaining for just entertainment purposes. It's crap if you are looking for reality.

I was disappointed by the first episode, but I continued watching. Each episode has SOME truth, but some of it is farce for sure. Of course they cannot accurately describe military life- for security reasons and for the fact that you can't KNOW unless you've been there and done that.
Irregardless, the character Roxy is nothing short of hilarious. That alone is enough comic relief for me to keep watching. And some storylines hit home while others are just out of context. It's TV drama... What do you really want? It's not a reality show.

excellent question, as an army wife, i wasnt sure i wanted to watch because its just another way of throwing the military into public eye and not getting out the whole truth. i think there are some aspects that are real, but most is just for tv. there isnt enough about how hard it can be, and all the different things you have to deal with. i watch the show for entertainment, because it is not at all close to the real thing, but does have some truthful aspect.

I think that it is a bad represintation of the Army as a whole. The way they do stuff in the show is completely different then the way they do it in the real army.

I've never seen it but the commercials for it are pretty bad. It looks like it's overly dramatic and every woman is some female stereotype and I just get that from the commercials.

no its not real, please don't take that show literally, its way over dramatic and just silly in some subjects, i do watch it for entertaining, its fun because i'm like "oh please, that isn't the way it would go" i thought it was funny when the black Lt. Colonel woman said to her commander "do the deployments ever get easier?" and to be a Lt. Colonel you have to be in for at least 15-20 years, i mean wouldn't she have been deployed during her time?
