How did i survive? Avoid the initial blast and radioactivity? I'd look for my stash of ammo, uncontaminated water supply and try to hold off the roving mobs.... hopefully order would be restored, but i doubt it.

Your question is in error. Why do you assume that there will be "few" survivors? Most experts predict millions of survivors after a full scale nuclear exchange. People in far flung rural areas will put back in time to 1900 before the phone and electricity but they will survive.
What to do? protect what you have, plan for a harder future, restablish a central authority, find out what is going on in the rest of the world, establish a militia, try not to make the same mistakes this time.

Changes in morality is a big concern and I believe its because people have let little things slip. An example is in clothing. A mere 50 years ago wearing a mini skirt was unthinkable and there was a proper length for the skirts to be and if it was within those requirements it would be moral. But over time a few people decided "we will not Wear skirts to our socks but instead to our knees" and then over more time knee length was acceptable and it just got worse and worse. People were allowed to get away with small things and I know clothes is not a major problem. But the same principle applies elsewhere as in premarital relationships, which in the past, was one of the most rebellious acts one could perform.. Change in morals has resulted to thousands of kids getting in sexual relationships before the age of 15 and this age is decreasing over the years. If the world continues to follow this path all morals will just go out the window and anything will be acceptable and any new immoral thing will be counted as something fun and interesting to try

Take my family and any camping supplies and medicines, and head to the hills. I'd live in a wilderness, maybe Canada or someplace, and just eke out a mountain-man style living.
And if you ever paddle your canoe up to visit, remember, "This river don't go to Aintry!"

I'd sell t-shirts that said, "I survived a nuclear war and all I got was this lousy t-shirt."...
