2 packages large round ravioli (defrosted)
1.5 cups plain bread crumbs (or seasoned)
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk

Preheat fryer to 375º.

Meanwhile, line a baking sheet with waxed paper. Beat eggs and milk together, and dip raviolis into the egg mixture. Next, dip them into the bread crumbs.

Place on baking sheet until ready to fry. Fry 5-6 at a time for 3 minutes. Place in a 200º oven for up to 30 minutes to keep warm and crisp.

Serve with your favorite chunky marinara.

Fried Ravioli
1 package cheese ravioli or crab-filled ravioli (around 2&1/2 to 3 dozen)
4 tablespoons milk
2 eggs
1 1/2-2 cups Italian style breadcrumbs, fine
vegetable oil (for frying)
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
warm marinara sauce
Prepare ravioli according to directions.
Drain well.
Whisk together the egg and milk and pour into a wide bowl.
Place bread crumbs into a wide bowl.
In a heavy skillet or deep pan heat oil over medium high.
Dip the ravioli into the milk mixture, then the bread crumbs, and now fry until a light golden brown color is reached.
Try to cook 6-8 at a time.
Drain and sprinkle while still hot with parmesan cheese.
Repeat until done.
Offer with warm Marinara sauce

WARNING: DELICIOUS
Fried Ravioli Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
Olive oil, for frying
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups Italian-style bread crumbs
1 box store-bought cheese ravioli (about 24 ravioli)
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan
1 jar store bought marinara sauce, heated, for dipping

Pour enough olive oil into a large frying pan to reach a depth of 2 inches. Heat the oil over medium heat until a deep-fry thermometer registers 325 degrees F.
While the oil is heating, put the buttermilk and the bread crumbs in separate shallow bowls. Working in batches, dip ravioli in buttermilk to coat completely. Allow the excess buttermilk to drip back into the bowl. Dredge ravioli in the bread crumbs. Place the ravioli on a baking sheet, and continue with the remaining ravioli.

When the oil is hot, fry the ravioli in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the fried ravioli to paper towels to drain.

Sprinkle the fried ravioli with Parmesan and serve with a bowl of warmed marinara sauce for dipping.

FRIED ravioli? WOW. Was it 'deep fried' or 'shallow fried' ... and what was it 'stuffed with'?

Basically, it's very easy to 'fry' ravioli, but there are several different 'methods' and each would look and taste 'different' ...

Deep fry ... let the frozen ravioli thaw completely. Heat your deep fat fryer, and drop a few in. When they 'float to the top' flip them over to be sure both sides are 'done' and remove quickly to a 'paper towel covered' pan or plate.

Shallow fry ... let the frozen rav thaw. Put about 1/4 inch of olive oil into a pan and heat. Lay the ravioli in the hot oil, and let 'sizzle' until 'light brown' on the bottom. Turn over and let sizzle again until light brown (it won't take as long, so WATCH it)....

Saute ... use either extra virgin olive oil or 'clarified butter' (melted and all the foam removed) ... add sliced garlic and let the garlic start to brown ... put in the ravs and 'stir until all the ravs are 'hot' on both sides. Add a little parmesan, romano, or asaigo cheese and whatever 'green herbs' you want, and serve.

Just take your frozen ravioli (you don't need to thaw it) heat 1/4" of oil in a frying pan to frying temperature (a drop of water will dance across the surface) and fry your ravioli till golden brown on both sides. I make these at home all the time, love them. Now have some fun trying different dipping sauces.

All you do, is dip the frozen ravioli in an egg wash and then some bread crumbs. Drop in hot oil for a few minutes. It thaws the ravioli and cooks and browns the crumbs all at the same time. Serve with some marinara sauce for dipping. . . I make them all the time, particularly for like Super Bowl parties, etc. because people love them!

About the same time we realize we were being played. Edit French fries were changed to Freedom Fries on the menu at the cafeteria in the House of Representatives, and in several restaurants around the nation as well. Actually changed, in print and all.

You can take ravioli cooked the normal way (boiled in water), then drain them, then fry them. At home I sometimes pan-fry them in a little butter, like potstickers. They're good that way!

But it a restaurant it's more likely they were deep-fried. They deep-fry everything in restaurants these days. It makes them crispy on the outside, which is nice!

Just fry the pasta in hot oil Browning it on both sides if not submerged.
Serve with your favorite sauce.
Be careful the pasta may splatter in the hot oil.
