Well, thank you VERY MUCH !?!
Now, I'm TOTALLY confused!
I think you just "out-Jedi"ed Yoda . . . !
That's definitely taken theology to a whole new level . . .
What to call you . . .what to call you . . . ? H-m-m-m . . .
A "Holy Banger"? . . . . no, that won't work . . . it'd never catch on seriously in Britain . . .
O.K. . . . I'll work on it.

There is a major flaw in your logic.
If everything that exists came into being because of some kind of "big bang", then I must ask where did this original "egg" (that which contained all the matter and energy that now exists) come from?
If it was always there, then - given the laws of thermodynamics (which basically says that everything is running down), along with entropy - then, given an finite amount of energy and an infinite amount of time (it it was always there), then the universe would have died out by now.
If, however, you say that the universe isn't old enough, that the "big bang" only occurred recently (say 80 billion years ago, for instance), then I must ask what was here 81 billion years ago?
The problem here is that either the universe had no beginning, and thus it is dead by now, or it DID have a beginning, and thus some THING had to cause it all.
One of the names of God means basically, that God has within Himself sufficient cause for His own existence without any prior cause.
This alledged "egg" (the origin of the "big bang"), existing in this space-time continuum, is subject to the laws of science that we all depend on, and thus either (as I already stated) was eternal, and thus "exploded" an infinite time ago and thus we have a dead universe (entropy in action), or it is not that old, thus demonstrating that it had to have had a beginning.
God said that He has ALWAYS existed ("I AM THAT I AM"), because He is NOT part of this space-time continuum, that He exists OUTSIDE our universe, and He is not comprised of matter or energy, as all the components of our universe are, but rather, He is comprised of something we refer to as Spirit.
Good luck with your search for Truth. You'll discover one day, that Truth is not found in facts, but in a Person, the Person of Jesus Christ. Jesus said "I am Truth".

Then tell me, what is God? I believe He is a spirit, but the big bang can't create spirits, can it? A spirit is that which has no parts, takes up no space, and has the faculties of intellect and will. If you say that spirits don't exist, then what gives us life, what is it that animates our bodies? Life can't come from death. Something can't come from nothing. Whatever it was that caused the big bang had to be living, or at least moving, to cause it. What was it?

So.....the big bang created the earth etc AND an omnipotent superbeing who watches over everything? I don't follow this at all. It defies both science and religion.

I have not heard of that exact religious tenant, but I find it intriguing. If someone finds an organized group with similar beliefs I would love to hear about it.

If he's way beyond humans, he's supernatural. If you believe in the supernatural, you're superstitious.

That's a valid theory (at least as valid as any religion) but I don't know the name. Maybe there isn't one.

It's as good a theory as any. Good to see you're thinking for yourself - that's all any of us can/should do!
