I feel that way. I think we need to cut off aid to all nations and spend our money at home. I think we need to send our missionaries to places in the USA. I am tired of being the police and piggy bank of the world. If it were up to me our pockets would be closed to foreign countries seeking aid. When we get our own society together we will help others. Oddly though, the same people who seem to scream about how terrible the USA is, are often the same countries who come to us with their hands out when something happens. I also feel, compared to many countries, we have our act together (although we still have a long way to go).
You must be from a country that hates America. How much money has your country received in aid from the USA lately? Maybe you should find that out before you ask. The answer might amaze you.
On the other hand, it could be that we are so smug because we do find the time to lend money and personnel support to other countries with their own problems that we see the sacrifices we make to do that, knowing all the while the many of those same countries have a majority of citizens who think we are "rotten" ,"lost" or dead.
I tell you what, if you hate us so much, then try to not think about us. Don't buy American food, take advantage of American money your government probably gets etc. Boycott all things American and see how far you get. I doubt you will be able to get much to eat or drink etc without some sort of American involvment.
Oh and the next time you guys have a military problem, govenmental overthrow, natural disaster then I think you need to refuse our offer of help and see what happens. How long will it take you to deal with the problem on your own?
We aren't so bad after all, are we?

We are the land of the free.
The soldiers who go over seas signed up to be in the military.
The missionaries who want to spread their beliefs persued that dream of becoming a missionary.
Just as I am becoming a business man and not doing anything beneficial other than making corporate offices more productive so I can in return make money.
So yes, we do take care of ourselves thanks for showing interest.

If people had to wait until their countries were perfect to send missionaries, no one would be able to send missionaries.... Brasil is sending missionaries out (thank God) aren't there problems in Brasil that could be fixed? When God calls people to be missionaries, they better obey him even if there are problems in their own area.

hmmmm no longer probably particular if there's a question right here or no longer. If there is I dont see it. i'll although assume which you're thinking why there are missionaries from my united states on your united states with all the themes that we've. First enable me handle the latter, don't be fooled as maximum our that our government represents our custom right here. I even have traveled the international and would desire to assert i'm nonetheless proud to stay the place I do. i'm going to no longer accept as true with what the government does, yet I do have the liberty to disagree. we have no "rotted custom", it somewhat is absurd to even think of. Americas custom is a compilation of each custom mixed, so whether it somewhat is rotted, you're responsible besides. We delight ourselves on a custom that permits you to be despite you desire to be, no stereotype, no policies to maintain on with to act and be American. Now the i'm unsure what you're touching on so some distance as "spreading the expertise using our funds". Missionaries would desire to advance that funds from church homes, that is not any longer basic, and right here is why they are there, God desire to attain anybody, everywhere. in the event that they have been to act such as you want, which potential Christ ought to of under no circumstances left Jerusalem, since no longer every person there became into saved. Missionaries unfold the expertise, no longer purely attempt to transform human beings. You cant unfold the expertise in case you reside in one place. All in all it somewhat is a shame which you have this manner of close minded concept technique and with a bit of luck you're on my own on your concepts, Im incredibly particular you're, since my relatives has housed some forex pupils from Brazil, and my relatives sends "soccer applications" there each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days or 2 for little ones in villages. The comments we get from them would not adventure your concerns. next time, attempt to place somewhat extra concept into what you write because it somewhat is amazingly complicated to maintain on with. And to Moiraes destiny, you comprehend nothig of our united states, Christians do something yet rule right here, Christianity is international, there is not any "American Christian" and if there is, they are truthfully no longer working the practice. If purely it have been the case what a extra useful international this would be. with a bit of luck God will save us all!

That would make sense, but you won't convince them to take care of the problems at home.
I think the same thing when I see the starving kids commercials, the celebrities adopting foreign children. How about taking care of the local problem first, then fixing the rest of the world? Apparently that labels me a racist/nationalist/worse though. But, like you, such acts seem hypocritcial to me.

The cost of freedom.
We do have a higher crime rate.
It means we hesitate to prosecute. It means "innocent until proved guilty".
It's easy to have a lawful society if you don't mind losing a few law-abiding citizens in the process.
That's what you call "rotten".
Perhaps it is.
I'd still rather live here, where there are missionaries of ALL sorts, not just the sort "we don't kill or chase out".

That's a ridiculous nationalistic mindset you have there. The idea behind sending people to other countries, and not just keeping them within the US, is that we're all citizens of the world and should strengthen our relationships by reaching out to people beyond our own borders, in addition to within them. To grapple with different cultures, learn to interact and better understand the outside world, etc.
Drop your xenophobia for a second and maybe you can come to this understanding. Attack religion all you want, but don't attack the idea and principle of helping people in other countries.
Shame on you.

Christians should go unto all the world to preach the gospel. The Christians in America are experiencing the good times, it will change and Christians will become stronger and more in number. The ones who are just playing games will turn away.

How do you know every single thing that every single church or believer or religious institution is doing? You do not. We are told to spread the Word of God. That is what we do. We spread it in our neighborhoods, our communities, our neighboring communities, we travel to distant places to spread it, we talk on the phone to spread it, we spread it at the laundromat, the grocery store, the daycare, the schools, the block parties, etc. etc. We are told to spread the gospel, and we do!! Hallelujah!

Churches here realize that the most likely place to get new converts is where people are impoverished.
More and more americans are learning the values of secularism.
