Because usually I love the girl I go out with. My definition of love is that nothing matters about yourself any more.... You'll sacrifice anything to make sure the person you love is happy. You'll shield them from any possible harm...
A common misconception is that guys enjoy violence. I dunno why that sprang up, but violence can be a good form of release, that's why there's boxing and football. But to hurt the person you love, the person who loves you and trusts you. That's just sick. Just cuz we have the ability to really hurt someone doesn't mean we will.

It has been recognised that men, especially young men, do tend to get a bit more physical with girls that they like - I guess maybe cus it means they can be closer to them? Or possibly to show dominance. But it could be that he's just trying to challenge you in the sport, he may think you have potential. So perhaps look out for other signs, and throw a few his way as well if you like him too. Good luck.

Simple. Because if most guys DID physically hurt their girl, they would go to prison and never get to have a girl again. Physically hurting someone is a crime.

Hopefully they were raised that physical violence isn't the appropriate way to deal with others (esp people they are supposed to care about)...but another big reason is because it's illegal and they don't want to get in trouble with the law.

Most guys love the person they are with and don't want to hurt no matter if they have the strength or power to do so. Even if they are angry most people don't really want to hurt that person.

I think this is a strange question, but for starters, we could say that the chances of being thrown in jail for hurting their girl might be one of the main deterrants.

because it aint right. like u siad we are stronger and it would be like kicking a puppy. guys who do hit women are only tough guys to girl and usually are b*itches toward any one he knows can beat him.i personally would stomp the crap out of any guy i see hitting a girl i dont care if i kow them or not.
