Well Iam a Muslim so I firmly believe Jesus to be prophet...Oh ! God I can see that you are already frowning...anyways lets get back to the answer shall we?
Evolution..eventhough all evidences suggest that this science is perfect you cant be absolutely 100% sure if the evolution is true...I mean Ok monkeys evolved slowly and turned into humans..But somewhere in between that magic of a developed brain happened ...you can talk about the whole Use and Disuse theory but there has been a miracle.....
The same goes for how life came into existence ?
ans:from cells...
Where did those cells come from?
ans:from the division of a single cell.
How did the cell divide?
Where did the first cell came from?
you can try answering all these questions but at the end of the road a scientist has to answer IT JUST HAPPENED....
But a man who believes in God doesn't have to dig up all these evidences...He just has to look around the world and he will know...without a creator a World this beautiful cannot be created.....
God created us all and some people are trying to know how?
good for them....but there is no reason for your faith to be shaken by it.....

I do! It never specifies in the old testament how long a day is. Even in the new testament there are conflicting ways to figure out what is a day. There is also the statement (I can't find the passage) regarding God's time vs. Man's time.
So.... I am content in believing that God created all in His time, not my time. As a result I believe in a combination of creation and evolution. I've even spoken with my pastor about it and he sees nothing wrong in that thinking, as long as I don't throw out the Creation!

Actually, you can not. They are diametrically opposed.

Please hear me out as I explain.

In Genesis, it is recorded that in six days God formed the earth and all living things. Each day was described very clearly and succinctly as "an evening and a morning", that is to say, a period of darkness followed by a period of light.

If, however, you say that the "day" represents - oh - say - 10,000 years, you are stuck with a dilemma. You now have 5,000 years of darkness followed by 5,000 years of sunshine. Under these conditions, life could never have gotten a foot hold on earth.

If you acknowledge a 24-hour day, as the Scriptures indicate, you have no time for evolution to occur.

Furthermore, if you believe in evolution, then you must also believe in death prior to Adam and Eve's disobedience.

The problem with this, however, is that the Bible clearly states that death is the result of sin, and prior to their disobedience, there was no death.

If you say that the story of the Garden of Eden, et al, are merely stories to get a point across, then you lose the significance of the meaning of sin, since there was no real garden, and there were no actual "first couple" (Adam and Eve), and there was no actual forbidden fruit, and thus there is no actual "sin".

If this is the case, then Jesus' death was meaningless, because it is recorded that He died for our sins, which evolution denies the existence of.

If there is no sin, then He could not have died for our sins, thus undermining the entire concept of a God of Love sending His Son to die for our sins, and ultimately, you could not be a Christian if Jesus did not die for our sins.

This puts Jesus in the position of being a highly moral teacher, and nothing more.

There is, however one problem with this. Jesus made claims to have equality with God, that He came directly from "the bosom" of God, and He has full authority on earth as God (to forgive sins, heal the sick, control nature, and even command demons, etc).

A person making those kinds of claims can only be classified as some kind of lunatic, on the same level as someone who claims to be an asperagus sprout, and definitely NOT a moral teacher, since he would also be a liar on top of it all!

So, in a nutshell, no. You can not believe in Jesus and God - you can not be a Christian - and still believe in evolution.

I sure long answer hope this helps.

I believe in Jesus and God and somewhat in evolution. I believe to this day that evolution does take place on some small levels, but not to the level that they claim created this earth and all that lives in it.

For many it's hard not to believe both.

First Jesus isn't a magic man or Santa.
He's the man that sacrificed his identity to the Christ spirit for the enlightenment of humanity.

He taught 3 things
1)God is love.
2)Love God with all your heart.
3)Love your neighbor as yourself.

Science can't replace love. God is love.
Religion can't replace logic. Science is logic.

♥Blessed Be♥

Of course you can. Unfortunately you have as many scientist discounting religion as you have religions discounting scientific facts. In my humble opinion, there is not a conflict between God and science until one decides to make one. Then the conflict belongs only to that individual and of course other like minded people. These issues can resolved with much contemplation and learning...meaning steer clear of close-mindedness!

The Big Bang was God turning on the machine.

Genesis 1 reads like the story of evolution.

Jesus changed my life. I because a follower of Christ, not an idiot -- so there's room in my heart for God and room in my mind for science.

Actually yes. Science is the study of what is.
As you have seen today, many times we get it wrong and other times we get it right. I think it is really cool to study GOD's creation. It is not cool when that study is used as an excuse to unbelieve in GOD. As long as science continues to try to disprove GOD then GOD will confound it and clearly display of our folly. There is never anything wrong with honest investigation.
