The smokers are getting the shaft and they are not strong enough to quit to not get the shaft. Dippers or tobacco chewers really are fealing it. There is no second hand smoke given off yet their product is more expensive that smokes.

How are they being unfairly taxed? They just pass along taxes onto the cigarettes. It's the consumer who's being taxed. Quite fairly in my opinion, btw, after all cigarettes cause all kinds of health issues, why not tax the people who buy them so that the money can go to help the health costs. And maybe it'll become too expensive for the people to smoke.

If the tax goes to the cost of treating tobacco related illness I would support a 1000% increase.

They're not taxed. They pass any tax levies directly to their customers. Or have you not noticed the $3.50 - $10.00 price of a pack these days?

Taxation is not always a fairness issue. Often, taxation is used to promote or punish certain behaviors and activities.
