I'm sorry to tell you if you find one in the hamster Cage the problem doesn't stop there. They have went there for the obvious reason food. this means they are everywhere they can find a food source. If money is tight and you can't call an exterminate then first try those roach trap. you can buy anywhere, put them behind the fridge , stove, under furniture, somewhere around the hamster cage. If this doesn't work you might have more of a problem then you think and will need to seek professional help. REMEMBER THEY MULTIPLY VERY VERY FAST!!!!!!

your hamster cage provides food and water for the roach. You need to spray or put down roach traps because there are probably many more around. The kitchen is a main spot for them , under the refrigerator and in cupboards.

All you can do for a while is keep the cage clean .

Roaches are attracted to feces and urine smell also from left over vegetable pieces that could be already going bad that you fed your hamsters few days ago. I suggest that you clean the cage well. You could keep the surrounding clean, roach trap and bait will help too. Roaches can transfer diseases that could infect your hamster and it could be fatal. good luck.

Oh my gosh. If you have roaches, you need to get the exterminator or something. It you have like, a cage with bars, bet an aquarium/tank instead. D= Roaches can have diseases you know and they can kill your hamster.

Well if you have seen some roaches in your house before, then it's probably a problem. It probably crawled in, looking for a warm place to settle and lay eggs. So watch out for more so that you don't have a roach infestation.

It was probably attracted to the food or something in the bedding. Make sure you keep the cage clean.

Either the cages is too dirty, or it was in the bedding you added. roaches can live anywhere. yucky, i would bleach the cage, and rinse it very well so you kill all the disease they carry.
