religious i am not?

my parents are religious and they say im not allowed to date till im 18. i cant wait that long. should i go behind there backs or listen to them????

Has nothing to do with religion.

They are legally responsible for you. What you do will impact them, legally.

If you can't wait that long, then file for "divorce" from your parents, get you own job, get your own place to live, and free them of the responsibility.

If my own daughter did that, I would move her out and make her get a job.

Once she is 18, her choices are her own and she has that right. I may not approve of her choices, but because she waited until she was no longer a minor, because she respected my wishes while I was legally responsible for her, I MUST respect hers when she is an adult.

You sacrifice that respect if you lie to them. Forever.

Choose. Don't blame religion. Believe me, there are reasons for this you will not understand until you are much older.

I am NOT religious, and happen to be a democrat. I went your way. So did my wife. We've paid for it. We deserved the pain it caused. We've often wished we could go back in time and fix it.

Listen to them. What's it going to hurt? Just focus on becoming the person you know you should be until then and you'll have much better relationships down the road.

Dont believe that the imaginary will punish you. It is your life, date now. Just be responsible & dont get pregnant.
