Well, I'm pleased to announce that once again Evolutionist are at a lost for words as to just how humans evolved. PROVING once again that the theory of Evolution is NEVER ending and will ALWAYS be a theory.

Meanwhile us Christians that KNOW GOD created us will just sit back and smile at their folly...

Fossils challenge old evoluton theory By SETH BORENSTEIN, AP Science Writer Wed Aug 8, 5:57 PM ET

WASHINGTON - Surprising research based on two African fossils suggests our family tree is more like a wayward bush with stubby branches, challenging what had been common thinking on how early humans evolved.
a discovery by Meave Leakey, a member of a famous family of paleontologists, shows that two species of early human ancestors lived at the same time in Kenya. That pokes holes in the chief theory of man's early evolution — that one of those species evolved from the other.

And it further discredits that iconic illustration of human evolution that begins with a knuckle-dragging ape and ends with a briefcase-carrying man.

It's great to be a Christian. I love that we hold true to our belief while science runs around with it's head cut off. It's fun to watch... (:

lol, you say we don't know how dumb we sounds when we say that life magically poof'd into existence. Yet, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't evolution say the same thing basically? poof, and there was a basic organism . . .

It's science. It changes. Do you go to a doctor? Your answer, like most Christians is probably "yes". Medical professions are often changing their ideas, treatment strategies, medicines, etc. Does that mean that medicine is wrong? No. It means that it changes. It improves on the past idea from new evidence.

Evolutionists could say that they believed what they believe, and "know" they are right. They don't need any more proof because they know they're right. But that would be ridiculous. Blind faith in something isn't scientific. That's why we have such a hard time with religion. A good scientist would not be upset that there theory was wrong. They would take the new theory and run it until they prove it right or wrong and continue the cycle.

I'll admit that up unitl yesterday I was an evolutionist. Then I read this story. I realized that if Homo Habilis and Homo Erectus lived side by side approximately 1.5 million years ago and did so for approximately half a million years then Evolution must be wrong and Creationism must be right- the Earth must have been created with all of the creatures as we currently see them and this must have been done by God about 10,000 years ago!

Then I paused for a moment and remembered that one of the surprising things about the genus Homo is that there's far less branching in the traditional view of our family tree than is seen in others. For decades now the old fashioned drawing of one following the other following the other in a straight line with no branching off hasn't been considered accurate. I remembered that science is always correcting its provisional conclusions as new evidence is found. I remembered that this is only one of many controversies that remains to be settled by more facts but that it fits in quite well with Evolutionary theory.

So I switched back from being a creationist, sorry. I found it horribly stifling to have to use what happened 1.5 million years ago to prove that the earth is younger than that. I remembered that religious views like Creationism reach conclusions and then sort, distort or ignore the facts to fit the conclusion and that's not a reasonable way to approach knowledge.

First, you know nothing about evolution at all do you? What are your credentials? You seem pleased to announce something as if you have something to back up your claim. Where are you basing this "loss for words" from? You have no idea what the term theory means in a scientific context. I bet you doubt the theory of gravity because it is only a theory right? I bet you believe in "intelligent falling". Here, if you even care about learning about human evolution go here: http://talkorigins.org/faqs/homs/ Please provide links to back up these fallacious claims you are making. You are correct in saying Evolution is never ending, we are still evolving today. How do you know god created you? Also, nice job on copying and pasting into your question's additional details without citing a source. Your intellectual dishonesty and pure ignorance is appalling. Ignorance can be cured! Go learn about something before you repeat what you are told.

The debate is going on strong. We Christians have to educate ourselves about hard evidence that proves us right, not only that they are wrong. The article states that they found fossils of a species that is non existing right now but that remarkably resembles a human. What can we say to that? I know that we don't have to answer every question that arises, but if we truly love these people and we want them to know Jesus, we should not be relying just on proving them wrong. As a matter of fact these findings are just more fuel for evolution scientists. They love to find "missing links" even if they have to adapt their theory to their new findings. The point is they found something interesting and that fuels them to invest time and money to keep looking. Are we just going to seat back? No, we've got to pray for direction and act on it!

Of course it will always be a theory. It's science. The only way for it to stop being a theory is for it to be falsified, which doesn't seem very likely. A theory is the highest level of science. There's no such thing as a law in science.

From the article you only copy-pasted PART of:

"Susan Anton, a New York University anthropologist and co-author of the Leakey work, said she expects anti-evolution proponents to seize on the new research, but said it would be a mistake to try to use the new work to show flaws in evolution theory."

Sh . . . she . . . she's a PROPHET! Lo, the words she hath spake verily true have come! She uttereth, and it becometh SO! All hail Susan Anton!

We shall flame illiterate fundies in her honor! :-)

So then gravity must not exist either because its a theory. Plate tectonics is just plain crazy talk. Vegas doesn't know jack when it comes to giving the over-under. Or is God holding you down, shaking the Earth, and answering people's gambling prayers? Just because they reivse a theory doesn't make it wrong.

Shouldn't this be a drinking question by now? Not just for this article, but everytime the theory of evolution gets revised or expanded the Christians jump on here and say it "proves" God's existance. We give them the same damn answers EVERYTIME....

*Drink*!

Let us imagine that you are travelling from City A to City B, and in order to get to City B, you must cross a wide and deep river. You discover that the bridge which you intended to use has been damaged, and can no longer support your weight.

This is new information. Do you sweep this new information aside and cross the bridge anyway, believing that it's better to trust in your unchanging routine, or do you alter your route?

When christians start keeping ALL the law, as Jesus said they should, then atheists might consider accepting your incorrect definition of a "theory"
