They built a new one less than 1/2 mile from my house a few years ago and it doesn't have windows. Are they all this way? Why?

Generally, a Kingdom Hall is built without windows only in areas which tend toward hate crimes and vandalism against houses of worship. Sadly, it seems that the questioner is from such an area, and perhaps even more sad that such religious intolerance occurs worldwide.

Perhaps these anti-Witness bigots fail to understand that their vandalism and persecution actually work to help prove that Jehovah's Witnesses are true Christians.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

Not all of them are that way. When I lived in FL, none of the ones I saw had windows and I was told (not by a JW) that they believed not having windows kept out evil spirits (which seemed really weird to me because you would think more would come in through the door than a window, but whatever...). Now that I live in NE, all of the ones I have seen DO have windows. So I asked someone and the answer I got was that it was probably more of a preventative against vandalism, which makes a LOT more sense LOL

Well sometimes they buy building other times they build them.

This is just my opinion, but most congragation activites are formal gatherings, they dont have a play area for kids, there is no youth groups, and no raquetball courts hehe. the function of the Kingdom Hall is to hold public talks and allow the audience to pay attention without being disturbed or become sidetracked by the baseball game across the street.

The Kingdom hall I attend was built new a few years ago and it has one window mainly for natural light to come in. but other then that it is always kept closed.

plus churches shouldnt spend there money on large expenses stained glass windows, its a waste. ha!

this question is getting old. many kingdom hall do have windows. the one that I go to does have windows. it depends on the neighborhood. many people break the windows. and it is also cheaper to build them without windows. we are not hiding anything. the doors are open and everyone is welcome to come and and see what is going on. we are listening to talks and singing. how can we creep you out? we are families just like anyone else. we may be your next door neighbor. we may work on jobs that you are doing. we may met you in walmart or winn dixie. we don't walk around with signs on. if we where a cult, which we are not. we would never invite people to the kingdom hall. I guess you would say that Jesus Christ was in a cult also because we do what Jesus Christ commanded at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. also the disciples where in a cult also because they did it also

You are asking a nonsensical question! SOME Kingdom Halls (NOT churches - pleeez - don't offend the JWs!) have windows. Some Kingdom Halls have great big windows! Just because one does not is no reason to jump to conclusions! Anyway, there might be a sky-light window that you cannot see from the ground.

One more stupid answer, primora.

Some Kingdom Halls have windows; some don't. The Kingdom Hall I attend has windows.

Why Leo is "creeped out" by windowless Kingdom Halls is beyond me. He is free to come in and enjoy the service if he so desires. And nobody will hassle him for money while he's there.

Yiyi and JY, what asinine remarks.

windows are expensive and an unnecessary. If I had my way I wouldn't have windows on my house.

So they can practice the cult rituals without anyone watching. Your religion is false, turn from your ways and repent.
