ngj1225: I'm not asking anyone to smear their former religion. Just looking for the facts.

ngj1225: I wouldn't say anyone who left the Organization is evil—quite the contrary. It just sounded like you were afraid to speak, for fear it could be misunderstood as speaking against the organization.

The Presiding Overseer (P.O.)handles those matters in a Jehovah Witness church (Kingdom Hall). The land is donated to the local hall or the Society. The land can also be purchased by the P.O. for the quick build. bottom line it is not owned by any individual but the Society the Bible and Tract. Bethal Heights. I have heard some of the more elaborate Kingdom Halls are privately owned. Check out the public Info at the court house tax assessor

Ya know, I almost answered this question. Even though I was a JW for 28 years, my entire family are JW, my husbands entire family are JW, I was told that since I left the organization I cannot answer these questions. JW on here think I will tell lies even though the answer I would have given would have been truthful, from their own Society and respectful. Sorry I cannot help you.

See, what makes you assume I was going to smear them? I do have the facts and have even defended them when others have false information. Just because I left doesn't make me evil. The local congregation here had the land donated by a brother who had passed away. It is ultimately the congregation itself that owns it. Thanks Unsilencedlamb!

The local congregations own the land. Others may try to tell you otherwise but a simple deed search will put an end to such claims.

The WBTS leaves the financing of Kingdom Halls and the land to the congregation...I have assisted in my past in aiding in the construction of 4 Kingdom Halls and the Assembly hall in Freedom, Ca.

negi1225...I give you permission to speak!
