You make it seem like an insult... He was being nice! He said that so you know that he wouldn't pressure you to have sex with him. The worst thing is when sex destroys a relationship because of ultimatums on virgins...

I think because taking a virginity is a big step. He wants to make sure you do not regret it and that it is something that you really want to do. If anything I think he has very good respect for you. Many guys would jump at the fact to take a virginity....because there pigs. Be happy that you are with someone that wants you to be sure.

It's actually both of your choices, and obviously he isn't ready. And he's hiding by saying you're not. Or maybe he is a control freak trying to establish some kind of an authority with you.
Anyway, it's both of your choices...it takes two to tango ;)

Honestly, I really think he was just saying that because he wanted to let you know he has no intention of letting you have sex with him until he thinks you're ready. He isn't making it his choice. It isn't YOUR choice either. What he is saying is even if you make the decision that you want to have sex with him, he isn't going to unless he thinks you really are ready.

It's definately your choice. Don't ever let a choice like this be held by someone else. If he's taking charge with this, imagine what else he will start taking into his own hands.

It's a two way street. You are not the only one who gets to choose if sex does or doesn't happen.

guys aren't horny 24-7 (though it usually seems so), we're just more open with our thoughts of that sort (its pretty obvious that my girl is as horny as me, its just our social restictions that dont allowwomen to speak as openly about sex, even to their partners) so maybe he just dosent have much libido right now. he dosent see you as a sex object! there'll be another time when he'll want to sleep with you.

He's probably just being responsible. If he knew you well enough, he wouldn't want to hurt you if you weren't ready.

Sounds like he's the controlling type. Stay away from him.
