Try Ice or cold packs to reduce the swelling.
Then only time will heal. Sorry!

First thing is first, make sure that you haven't done any damage to your teeth and/or your braces. Once you have deemed that everything is okay with those, I suggest you put some ice on your mouth to help numb the pain. You also need to keep your mouth clean, so I suggest rinsing your mouth with some hydrogen peroxide diluted with water (instructions for this can be found on the bottle of hydrogen peroxide - don't swallow it!). Rinse your mouth a few times a day (especially after meals). Stay away from acidic foods and drinks (i.e.: tomatoes, oranges, grapefruit, etc.). If the pain persists or gets worse, the bleeding starts again or you get a rash or fever, go to your doctor right away, you could have an infection! Feel better!

Place clean tap water into a foam cup and place in your freezer until it is completely frozen. Peel back a small amount of the top of the cup and massage this onto area of pain using constant circular motion. DO NOT hold the ice in one area for more than 3 minutes since this may cause frostbite. Cold therapy should be stopped once the skin feels Numb.

It's going to take a few days for the swelling to go down. Do this ice technique several times a day and it will help the swelling. Advil liquid capsules would help the swelling and pain. Take them four times a day.

Take motrin
and ice or eat a lot of cold things today like ice pops, water ice, ice water - it should feel better - the motrin helps the swelling and takes the edge off.
