people speed in work zones?
It makes me so mad when I'm going the speed limit posted in a work zone and people fly around me or tailgate. It's the speed limit! How would they feel if someone they loved got killed in a work zone because someone else didn't show enough consideration to drive the speed limit? The speed limit is there for our benefit and that of the construction workers.

Yes, this is certainly annoying, but we can't control other people, only ourselves. My big "traffic" pet peeve is when I see kids bouncing around in the backseat not sitting in a carseat let alone utilizing a seatbelt! What are those parents thinking?!?

I'm that guy behind you wishing you'd go faster. The problem with construction zones is they like to block off three miles of highway to work on 100 feet. I'm okay with you obeying the speed limit in the vicinity of the actual work zone...where the people are. But use some common sense and pick it up a bit when no construction workers are anywhere near. We'll both be happier.

Nobody cares about speed limits anywhere ELSE, so how can you expect them to care in construction zones?

It costs DOUBLE if cited in a work zone in my state, and that can get expensive.

Do what's right and smile at the others as they get a ticket.

You made a good case for stupid drivers. If you are in that much of a hurry you need to put your life and the life of others at risk. The first thing the police should do is take your in a hurry self to jail.Once there you should not be allowed to drive for at least three years.Maybe then people driving thru a work zone might think about there speed. Two many lives have been lost by stupid speeders.Best of luck

Agree
But what makes me mad is signs saying road work next 20 miles, so ya slowdown and nothing, no people, no equipment,

That might be why a lot of people ignore road work signs.

I don't get mad. I keep my emoptions under control.
Letting your emotions get control of you while driving is deadly.
I will admit, though,I did laugh my *** off , when a car whizzed be me and the car in front of me---who happened to be an umkarked police car.

It makes me annoyed, but i try not to get angry when driving.

People don't think of the consequences of their actions, so i don't think you can apply this here.

The world is in such a rush these days, precious minutes make all the difference.
