The sizes are tall (small), grande (medium), and venti (large). You can either ask for a "grande coffee" (sometimes they have regular as well as a dark roast, so you may have to specify) or you can say "grande drip."

ask for a plain coffee. They may call it something like "cafe americano" or something strange, but its just coffee with no steamed milk or anything.
Why would you be self-conscious? Starbucks employees are all just mostly kids. I find it hard to be intimidated by anyone who's still concerned about which pimple cream works best...

I don't like any thing fancy when I go to starbucks It's not uncool to be yourself just tell them you want a regular coffe. I do it all the time no matter if I am with friends ordering all kinds of crazy **** or not. That's me what you see is what you get. Go ahead try it.

"Regular coffee"
I know that is not a new response, but I wanted to add, when I go in, I just ask for a "regular iced coffee" and I get exactly what I want - nothing fancy.

I don't. I make my own coffee at home or stop at the closest c-store for a hot cup of joe.

Ask for a Tall cup of black coffee. If you want room for cream, ask for it. If you want a larger size, ask for a Grande.
