I am tired and frustrated that persons here illegally are given any credence at all, and I just want to know some intelligent reasons why this is even an issue.
Forget the "guest worker" or "humanitarian" points as they are invalid.
I think we should treat all these illegals the same way that their home contry treats us should we decide to go there illegally. Check out the Mexican laws.

To Txemi- Yes, there are illegal immigrants in the U.S. from every part of the world, but none of them have the right to come without following our laws just as Mexico has immigration rules to follow, so does the U.S.

I cannot agree with you more. They seem to have more rights than we do and aren't even respectful enough to learn our language. Nobody would cater to us in any other country. If you want to make $$ her, learn the language. My father came from europe and nobody learned Hungarian to make it easy for him, he had to learn ENGLISH

While you are correct in your explanation, you can't automatically ignore the fact that American business has looked the other way for a hundred years and say "ok from this point on....". The reason "this is even an issue" is because not only is there a moral question on why we would allow a part of our culture for so long a time, but to take a draconian approach to enforce the law would impact the US economy dramatically. And we all know that Golden Rule, he who has the gold from utilizing illegal aliens in their workforce make the rules.

Yeppers... I'm tired of the PC-ing of everything illegal. I'm also tired of Congress shielding the corporations.
Mexico isn't the only country with strong laws to minimize and control illegal and legal immigration. I recall Australia in the 1990's... you could visit, but couldn't get a JOB.
And screw the claim that they (illegals) can't get visa's or green-cards. One of MY workers (Jose`, honest) has been in the USA for 16 years, filed for the paperwork before entering, and got his workers permit. I filed his tax info, he pays withholding, state, and all taxes here in California, and he's one of my BEST workers.

With respect to the last paragraph: or maybe we should treat them in the same way they treat any American when they visit Mexico. Many Mexicans, regardless of what their status is, behave as though they were the owners of the U.S., and without any respect for this country. With respect to illegal immigration, in my opinion, the main issue isn't immigration itself, but what it entails: the risk of national identity. America has an identity, and it seems that many illegals don't even perceive it. Many of them don't want to learn English. Who do they think they are???
Nonetheless, they live in extremely harsh conditions; our government should help them.... but how??

Who cares about mexican law? Are we in mexico? What is wrong with you people? We are better then them and our policies should be different. They are still illegal and should be dealt with accordingly. And that means deportation.

Well it goes the same for any other words....illegal drugs, illegal solicitation, illegal trespassing.......it doesnt matter what something is labeled. If people want to do it bad enough, it will be done! There is nothing anyone can do to stop it except enforce the law for those that are caught!!

The part that I don't understand is the sign we hung on the door that says "Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free..."
Maybe we should take the sign down.
I take your point though. We stole this land from the natives fair and squre. It's only right that we be able to prevent others from enjoying the benefits we so rightfully usurped.
I get it though, they are "illegals." You have no problem with legal immigration, right? So that's the whole point. We are trying to make the illegals legal, then you will not have a problem, right? Because you aren't a biggot of some sort, you love diversity... you just want them to be legal, so make sure to vote for a candidate the supports immigration reform that will make the process easier so that we don't have any more illegals.
