Radical Islamists planned and carried out the 9/11 attack either want the infidels of America to convert or die.
Who would you start negotiations with?
What would you say/offer?

Read carefully, people...I know you are programmed by liberal talking points 24/7, but once upon a time, you could answer the question that is asked. I'm having a Bill O'Reilly moment here. Where does my question include anything about Iraq??????????

Do you see how they all jump to Iraq! You said nothing about Iraq. We are fighting terrorists now in Iraq but that is NOT the reason we went, it IS the reason we can't leave. And to answer your question, you can't negotiate with people who use women and children as shields, kill their own people just as soon as kill us, and will not stop until we convert or die.

You don't negotiate because America does not negotiate with terrorists (it's the law). What you do is state clear objectives for yourself as a country (remove terrorism... ex.) and then you make smaller objectives like gather intelligence, establish allies, deploy specialty army units. This is real planning and this is real life. You can't play superhero all the time and sometimes you need to admit that you need help. This is something we have clearly failed to do. We need to stand together with Middle East countries that have democratic process and we need to promise countries that want democratic process prosperity and freedom. We can't bribe these people to work with us, we have to show them that there is better life for them, free of terror, if stand by us.

I would have asked myself, "did anything that I did give someone reason to fly airplanes into buildings in NY and Washington?"
if the answer is yes, then I would change what I was doing, if not, then history will continue to repeat itself. Of course, religious fanatics are crazy mofos and don't really need a reason.
But invading Iraq and continuing to occupy holy lands is going to lead to another terrorist attack, just a matter of time.
EDIT: My bad, I once heard some little man say that Iraq was the central front on the war on terror. Al Qaeda/Saddam is the same thing and so on.

There is no way anyone could have negotiated us out of the attacks of September 11.
As a first step, we could have perhaps not given airline tickets or passage through security of several people whose names were on the FBI terrorist watchlist. So, our own incompetencies might be an area where we can improve, rather than bombing unrelated countries and killing civilians, much like was done to us on that horrible day in 2001.
Just my thoughts! Thanks for asking!

You talking about a small group of people and placing their personal interpretations about their religion at the feet of all Muslims. Which is not fair. We don't hold the Methodist, Baptist and Unitarians (all Christians) responsible for the acts of radical Evangelicals (such as those who have killed for the pro-life movement). Why would you do this to others?? Why negotiate with people who really don't matter (in terms of their number)? We do more against their cause by living our lives and not worry about it. Israel has been living under these condition for almost the last 30 + yrs. so to believe that we can stop this minor movement with a war or negotiations would be foolish to assume. You can't change who they are and what they believe, only they can. What we can do is hold ourselves up as a example of life, freedom and human decency under a democracy for the rest of the Muslim world to appreciate and hopefully desire for themselves to achieve (not at the barrels of our guns).

Over 42,000 people were killed in car accidents last year. Upon whom/what do we declare war to stop the death and destruction that lurks on our freeways?
Let's face the truth here. More Americans die trying to go down a flight of stairs every year than are killed by terrorists. Sure, they got a lucky shot in on 9/11, but is it worth trillions of dollars to "combat" when there are far greater dangers facing us?

They have no country so there is no one to negotiate with. Radical Islam does not want negotiations anyway they will only accept our total capitulation to their way of life. To all those who say talk to them, I want to know who to talk to.

I think the first thing we need to do is modify the Geneva Convention to allow torture in cases like this. Captured terrorists are not conventional soldiers, and I fail to see how we can treat them as such. (And I don't care one iota about basic human rights--they gave those up the moment they strap on that AK.)
At that point we can extract all the information we want from them, because with modern medicine we could create some deliciously agonizing methods of non-injurious torture. Days, months, years--everybody breaks sometime.
Now let's weigh the moral implications here. A handful of violent murderers tortured, but not killed. On the other side is thousands of innocents that die, never to return. Which is the lesser evil?
