Get a certified used one. A Honda Odyssey that is only a year or two old with low miles will still last you for years, but will cost significantly less than a brand new one. Just make sure you still go through the dealer, or you don't know what you'll get.

I had a Honda Prelude and when I got prego with my first, hubby switched it to a "family car" He let me choose between 2 minivans that were avail on the lot at my dealer's. He gave me a good buy, letting me return my honda that I had not paid in full yet. We took out the back seat since we didn't need it much and it has room for even bikes! We got a Dodge Grand Caravan. It is not the best brand out there but it was low mileage and a 2001, versus my honda 1992. I have had it for over a year, although I hate driving automatic, it has proven to be most useful. I purchased it for 8500. I will finish paying it off next year and hopefully I can get another year out of it! I would recommend used though. I have looked at the Hondas, don't really think you can get a cheap one, unless it has some kind of problem, depends on your budget. I would not go over 250 in monthly payments, on the long run it can really get to you.

We just traded our Honda Odyssey in 4 months ago. It was a nice minivan. The seats were not very comfortable, but if you are not sitting for long periods of time, then it's not a big deal. Get a used Honda. It's almost just as good, with the exception of the warranty. We never had a problem with ours so didn't use the warranty.

I also have a Mazda MPV 2006 and prefer it. Many comments suggested it became into extra useful than Honda of Toy. that could be somewhat smaller however, even though it nonetheless seats 7. Mine has 30k miles and nonetheless no problems in any respect.

Your budget decides that .If you get a used one buy certified pre owned honda , you get the warranty and quite a bit off what a new one would cost . A lot of depreciation is hit once a new car drives off the lot .

I recommend a used one because you shouldnt waste alot of money on a new car when you are unsure about if you can afford it. Most used cars look new though. They money that would plan to buy a new car could be used for something else

Buying used, but with low miles is best. Ensure that the warranty is fully transferable and still has some time on it.
Go to carmax.com. This will give you an indication of what the market prices are on used vans. They have "no haggle" pricing, and their prices are fair.
