ABSOLUTELY! We should all be like the Bereans, who searched the Scriptures to see whether or not what they'd been taught was true. Sadly, there are many churches nowadays that disapprove of critical thought. This is an indication that the leadership endorses and teaches errant theology, in my opinion.

The school at my church has a class on logic. Learning to examine the arguments of any debate and determine what is logically sound. I wish that was taught in public schools. I would've loved to have taken a class like what they teach at my church. It's amazing.

If we did teach objective critical thinking, churches would close down, and preachers would need to find honest jobs, rather than conning people with silly ideas of an afterlife in one of two highly undesirable places.

I think it would be better to teach it in schools and let people take it to their churches and see what they figure out.
