Skip their questions/answers if you are sick of "listening" to them. I see no bitterness at life, they are not complaining about things happening in their lives on a personal level. I see bitterness towards those who put them down for not believing. True, some are really narrowminded... just like some Christians are. You will always find those within any group you look at that will be narrowminded and refuse to listen to others. Complaining about them only feeds them and keeps them going though.

I'm not really tired of them, because I just block the one's that seem to be "fundie" in attitude and skip those that appear to be doing this to prove their "logic" and "reasoning". I think some people have different definitions for these words than what is given in the dictionary.

I see.
Okay,
1. You believe in an invisible man that lives in the sky, along with the fellow that he magically put into a virgins stomach on one side, and a spirit sitting on his other side. Who's stupid and pathetic?

2. I feel sick of hearing Christians pathetic attempts and arguments at trying to prove that there is a god.

3. Christianity is one of the most narrow-minded religions I've ever come across.

4. I'm tired of YOU, and the other Christians that can't just accept that there are people that think rationally and logically, instead of believing in the b.s fairy tales that Christians do.

Merci.

Ummm... in my experience, it's the Christians who tend to be narrow-minded, especially when it comes to other religions. Speaking as a mediative polytheistic naturalist, the rigid patrialistic monotheism of the Judeo-Christian god and its offshoots tend to be the ones sticking to the straight and narrow, and not looking up and seeing the world around them. Just because I don't believe in the Judeo-Christian god doesn't mean that I don't believe in a deity (ies) - equally, I won't "slag" Christians off. I went to a religous school, so know the doctrine; I studied Classics at University, concentrating on the history of the early Roman Empire, so know the politics behind the rise of Christianity. I therefore think that I am in a fairly knowledgable position - can you say the same?

Penn and Teller are a pair of reliable examples. To WellTravelledProg I understand what you try to assert approximately charm to authority, although, it somewhat is thrilling to observe that there are various atheists who're customary those days. This illustrates that atheism is starting to be extra appropriate in immediately's society that it became into till now. Heck, in the 50's you risked being blacklisted and in all probability even investigated by using the government in case you have been to come again out and publicly announce you have been an atheist. Noting immediately's celebrities who're open approximately it shows that a guy or woman would be an atheist immediately and not be an outcast. i wouldn't in any respect say everybody ought to start their religious ideals in line with who's Who of religion. although, since there are some customary atheists is a manner that makes atheism extra appropriate an theory.

I don't believe in God but I certainly would not call you pathetic purely for your beliefs. Although, you have to realise, Religion is the number one reason why their are so many wars in this world. Not because of God himself but simply because some religions get angry at other religions when they do not agree with their beliefs. I think people today use religion as an excuse to fight each other and cause pain and anguish. If their were not so many religions in this world, the guarantee would be that their would be less fighting.

I'm not Christian or religious, but if you profess to be a Christian yourself you are being very hypocritical, aren't you supposed to follow Jesus example and show love and empathy to all? Jesus went through a lot more than a little bit of teasing, you are showing a bad attitude by expressing your disgust at others behaviour, shouldn't you just "turn the other cheek" as they say?

When the readership tires of a work, it's almost always because there's a shortcoming on the part of the author. Sometimes this is the result of limited, unimaginative dialogue. Sometimes it's poorly fleshed out characters without depth. Sometimes it's just a plotline so poorly constructed it can't retain the attention of modern readers.

To answer this question may sound like I'm giving advice but don't let the arguments bother you. It is good to defend your faith but there is a time to walk away as when your anger is so great you are focused more on what somebody said than you are on your faith, for example. Just take it with a grain of salt. It may help to pray or have those close to you to pray for guidance.
