Yuck... it's driving me crazy! I have to beg him to bathe. In the beginning, he was always a clean person, showering every day, occassionally skipping a shower over the weekend. Now, if I'm lucky, he'll shower once a week. He doesn't have a strong odor ( which I find odd) so, since he feels he doesn't stink, he thinks he doesn't need to bathe! It's gross if you ask me! What can I do to make him understand how nasty it is? I'm ready to leave! Help!

That is BONKERS!! Oh my how can he not bathe! What kind of work does this man do? Maybe you shouldnt bathe for a week and see how he likes it!

My X was the same way. That's one of the reasons he's my X. It's called "good hygeine". Your obviously not having sex anymore either. Explain this too him. Tell him, you want to be proud he is by your side like you used too. OR
Give him the ultimatum to shower daily or he's outa there....and mean it!
My husband now showers twice a day. I feel dirty sometimes just showering once. But, I make absolutely sure that I am freshly clean for those special times.

If this filthy person refuses to shower make sure you sleep in a separate room. Showering once a week! That is really gross. Refuse to go anywhere near him, certainly don't sleep in the same room. Eventually he will get the message, he must shower every day!!!!!

Hey girl,WOW i would be freaking if i were in that spot,Just tell him Honey you know i love you but its only right if you shower ATLEAST once a day.Cripes i would go crazy specially when he wants something eeewwwwww...
Be honest cuz thats just gross nobody can be like that,My kids take showers on there own EVERYDAY!!Hes a grown man he needs to shower everyday,I would almost do what they have told you.Try saying to him honey lets shower maybe that would work.Good luck!!

If the along with bathing habits change are any other small personal habits r changing like mood swings ,sullen behavior,deprssion or undue eleation than u shud worry & get a psychitary checkup & help.
Othewise if this is just lazyness have him a talk with a health personel that personal hygine is must for good health & living.

OMG no really sit him down and be like woah hunnie i love you but we are going to have a serious issue if you dont become more hygenic...you may not SEE anything or SMell anything wrong with you but you can get infections and thats nasty....and i love you but you'll sleep on the couch untill you start showering more often b/c i find that VERY unnattractive.

I don't blame you for being upset. Personal hygiene is very important and when someone who has been clean and then changes his style (for whatever reason) needs to be told that it is unacceptable. I have read that sometimes it actually is a medical condition when they stop bathing. Maybe he is depressed? I think you need to insist that he get a check-up to make sure it isn't something medically that needs attention. Good luck!

Since you already tried begging him to bathe and that is not working, why not make it more appealing by asking him to shower with you. If that does not work...it's time to leave!

I hate to be rude,but if he won't take a shower after u have begged him too,maybe he just isn't interested in you anymore.Dump him & get u a clean man!!

you should tell him everything you posted in your question, i bet if he knew how mad or how serious this was to you then maybe he would shower more. and if he don't the i got if you just cant take it go stay a night or 2 with a friend or something and maybe he would get the picture. good luck sweetie.
