I am Muslim so it's not only my religion, but also my way of life. Unfortunately Islam it highly misinterpreted and misunderstood by many people, and often they are too ignorant or lazy to learn the truth.

Islam is a peaceful way of life, people confuse true Muslims with the extremists or terrorists. I am good friends with a Muslim couple, the husband is a devoted and kind man who treats his wife with utmost respect while she is a hard working woman who loves hr family fiercely, they practise their belief and I think that they are a good example for some "Christians".

I see it as a sister branch of Christianity. Most of their ideologies match except few. Both came out of the middle east and had longing to convert as many people as they could. Both barged on different areas to convert people. They both have this superiority element to them. To Christians, Jesus is the only one and all the others are infidels. To Islam, only Allah is the superior power and all others are Kaffirs. These are one of few religious community that waged bloody wars against other communities and against each other.
I don't think these two religions are bad, it's just people with high power in these religions have been corrupted and they used religion to kill and convert. Sometimes I think Jesus and Mohammad must be very sad in heaven to look down upon on some of their followers.

Islam is a religion. People follow religions. People need to be respected. = Religions need to be respected.
"Never judge a religion by its follower and never judge a follower by their religion"
I don't belong to Islam, I belong to Humanity.

Same as all the other religions. They are getting knocked about right now by christians in particular and I find that hypocritic. One of my best friends is muslim, others are christian, and throw in a variety of others...the people I am friends with are not fanatics of any religion thank goodness.

Islam is a complete way of life. It tells man about the purpose of his creation and existence, his ultimate destiny, his place among other creatures and more importantly, it provides him with guidance to lead a balanced and purposeful life which will enable him to avoid the Hell-fire and be rewarded with a place in Paradise in the life after death. Simply Islaam is to "Obey Allah" (Allah is the Name of the Only One True God). Islaam is a verb in Arabic (a doing word). The one who does Islaam is called a Muslim. (Allah calls us "Muslims" in His Speech of Qur'ân).
The Arabic word Islaam means voluntary surrender to the will of Allaah and obedience to His commands. Allaah is an Arabic word, the proper name of God. Muslims prefer to use Allaah rather than God.
