Some used to call those type of people: two-faced, back-stabbers...
However, SLANDER is one of the best words I know, to define someone who is like that. Slanderous statements have even been brought to court, at times.
Personally, I don't like to give them that much power over me. Usually, the people who know me... know it's not true. But then again, you only asked what you "call it." Depending on what level of harm has been done, and to whom, I'd most certainly break all ties with the individual.

After a while they will call it being frinedless and alone. People like that don't keep frineds all their lives. They come and go in other peoples lives and never develop any good solild friendships themselves because they are too selfish and mean to give anything to a goood frindship.

I call it immature and selfish, as most people that do this to others can't handle it when someone does it to them. They know how bad it feels, yet they do it to others anyway. I just write them off. Karma will eventually catch up with them.
