The blower resistor has failed located on the bottom of the blower housing looking up passengers side floor. However you must know the blower resistor may have failed because something stopped the blower motor or the motor draws to much current. Amperage can be checked in several ways on the highest speed 10 amps are about maxium the blower should draw.

My little sister drives a cougar and hers had the SAME problem. She had to buy a new a/c faceplate thing because the little knobs were just messed up. Only cost her like 200 dollars. BEST OF LUCK! =0)
