I don't have any "male friends", but I would say that, if I was looking for one, that he would definitely have to have a great sense of humor and understand that we are ONLY going to be friends. No "monkey business"! :D
But most of all I would hope that he had my best interests at heart as I would be the same with him. A friend is one who "has your back" as you have theirs.
And also he would have to be able to keep confidences... anything I told him would have to stay between US!

This depends on what kind of person i am and what i have to look for in a male freind. If you ask me, i'll say, I quote, "i saw this heart-melting movie, where even though the girl got scar in her face, the hero agreed to marry her and made her feel no lesser" and that made me yearn for a freind just like him, not a guy to marry, but only a friend to care. So, apart from the girls saying we want a guy with good personality, everyone wants, I will say honest, humble and simple - just to the the person he is. This attracts me the most when a guy holds a girls hand and walk her to safe distance - and trust is what the world stands in. If i want to have a freind he has to be a mirror of himself and a difference that i'll be proud of.

I have got a lot of male friends as I work in a male environment. A man needs to be able to make me laugh. Humour is defo the key. Flirting is a fabulous way to make the day go faster and make you feel good about yourself. He needs to be able to listen to me coz I talk loads.

Well Ive got a male best friend and he is the best, I dont laways get to see him but when I do he always makes me feel good about myself. I can tell him anything and he will give me an honest opinion and you can tell him anything and he want go spreading it around! He's great

hmmmm... im a girl and i have lots of male friends.....
and maybe sometimes im considered as one of the boys so...
what i look for in a male friend is one who isnt a pervert... he can be but not the kind that rapes girls or touch their private parts.. you know! that type!
also a gentleman... one who will carry your heavy2 bag for school.... sounds like a bf but no.ok?
and looks don't really matter as long as he has good hygeine.

A nice lad that int tryna get in me knickers, lol. Someone who is a good laugh and makes me feel good about myself without being pervy. Someone you can relax and be urself around. Personality over looks but maybe even someone that I could see myself going out with in the future...

a guy "friend" would be just someone who is socially compatible that has common interests.
a guy for a relationship- would be a man who is not conseeded yet confident. masculine with a sensitive side. nice to my friends even if they dont like them and all around respecfull of women. a sence of humor and good hygene help as well.

In a guy friend....someone who makes me laugh really hard. He has to be someone who is fun to be around and if he is a little adventurous that is better. I love being introduced to new things. But a guy who wont hit on me or try to have sex with me when I am vulnerable.

good approtiely timed sence of humor
understanding of eachother
no weird intentions of sex or using the friendship as a con to get to sex
well , hey even if down the line u messed around because we genuily liked or knew eachother well enough we cood do that not be weird or cold and make waffles the next day and still look eachother in the eye
able to laugh be respectfull
able to hang out be laid back
i dunno alot of things i guess

Someone who shares at least some of my interests, someone who is nice, someone who makes me feel good about me. And having handy male friends is always very, very good. A few years back I was in the line at the convenience store, before I lost all my fat, and this guy behind said to me, "Hi Sexy." I thought WTF, but it was one of my boyfriend's friends. When I saw him I just laughed. To put it in a nutshell, it's a guy who is friendly, appreciative of you, kind, and helpful.
