Ok to validate this point I live in Germany and have so for 8 months and prior to that I lived in South Korea.
I’ve spent a lot of the last 3 years traveling around the world it is rare to meet someone who genuinely doesn’t like Americans. On the rare occasions I do meet a Anti-American people they have opinions based largely in assumptions given to them from teachers or the media which I protest is the same sources that give Americans much of out Bias. In fact before logging onto this forum out of pure boredom I never really say so much Anti American sentiment and disturb me if you look at the world before WW1 you will see the topic of Nationalism popping up this ant foreign sentiment is dangerous and should be stopped. Weather you like the US or not don’t take away our accomplishments because they do not allow yourself to come out on top we are a strong country…the concept of Superpower is kind of dated with globalization and the EU and such.

We did this not by conquering or murdering people we are a democracy and have successfully held to one for longer that anyone before the days of Rome and the Senate(which did yes fall but after a thousand years). Our Military is very strong but we also spend a lot of time Training our Allies to protect themselves often doing so out of our own pocket…For example I just went through a leadership course with 12 Polish Army Students and 5 British. We have made mistakes we know that but rubbing it in our face is childish if your from Europe you know that your forefathers are the ones who made this mess to begin with weather it be Africa the Middle East or even Asia. Blaming everything on the US is to easy we have all messed up and that is exactly why the only way to stopping all this foolishness if for EVERYONE to accept responsibility.

Because I listen to what they say and do.
No matter what they do - they criticize us.
No matter what our motives they assume that our motives are evil.
When the enemy makes a claim about us - they automatically believe them.
When we make a statement defending ourselves they assume that we are lying.
The constantly interfere in our internal politics but demand that we never comment on their internal politics.
They claim to be our friends - but they sure do not act like friends.

yep our so called politicians like Pelosi and Gore going to other countries bad mouthing us, doesn't help, neither does people in other countries seeing our news casts bashing our country. The media doesn't realize the real harm it's causing to this country.
No country is perfect, but U.S. helps people and then they turn on us, or don't have our back like we do for them, and that's a bunch of BS. They can hate us, but quite frankly anyone who hates us, I hate them too. That goes for people in or out of this country.
I don't really hate them because I don't really hate anyone, and I wouldn't want to be like the people who hate me, just because I'm an American.

Your question is some of the more intelligent reading I have seen in this forum. I think you said it all though yourself; Media bias!
This question should be sent to people like Penn, Streisand, Glover, Moore, etc.!

Because they tell us so. I have been told by many people from other countries that I am stupid, selfish, fat, ugly, and snobby, even on this forum. Especially on this forum. Not because they knew me, but because they are against the war in Iraq, and because I am an American, a Republican, who believes the war in Iraq is the right course, and I support the Troops always, until the day God calls them evil, which He will never do.

I suppose everyone would like to be apart of a nation that is considered #1, because of all the accomplishments and power behind it.
I think it is called " Jealousy," of all that America has. Of course not everyone feels this way ..that's why they try to move here if they can. Some move here to take what they can and then move back to their homeland with their treasures.

This is the truth. I think however it comes out of jealousy and the fact that most everyone in the world at one time or another has called upon or otherwise relied on the U.S. for survival. They certainly don't complain when our soldiers are dying in wars that they were involved in, but could not sustain alone, or when we are giving them food and medical supplies.

Everyone assumes it because all they show on TV is people burning American flags, and they edit out the ones cheering us on.
