i think its the owners purpose in life to take the piss out of as many of his customers as possible, i try NEVER to fly with them, its just not worth landing 50km from the city you are supposed to be going to, and between paying extras for luggage, privilege seating that does not exist, food (which is priced in STG, even when flying from 1 EURO zone to another, at extortionate exchange rates grhhh, I'm nearly ranting here) you then have to fork out more for a bus to bring to you the place they said they were going to fly you to in the first place.

Once all the hidden 'extras' are added in to the normal cost of a flight you would have been better of flying AerLingus (which I always fly if possible), or BA or what ever other airline goes to where you want to go. The EU are trying to bring in rules to stop his form of advertising, so customers get to see the 'real' price, and it can't come soon enough

They only do it because customers are willing to pay for it!

Ryan Air's business model is to reduce costs wherever possible and charge fees up front for what other airlines would include in the price of a ticket. So your BA (or whatever other airline) ticket includes this fee as part of the general cost.

It makes comparison of Ryan Air and other airlines' ticket costs hard though - just remember all the extras like this and transport to out of the way airports, food on board etc etc when you compare the costs of tickets

You always have the option of going by another airline or not flying if you dont like Ryan!

Thats rite, most of the airlines do now. Ryanair made me miss a connecting flight and it cost me another £106 to get home. Never get it back.

Keith, of couse they are taking the rise out of passengers.
I am not too bothered, as it all goes on expenses, but as Luton is my local airport, I hear a lot of "what is this charge for ?" Ok the basic cost of a bum on a seat seems cheap, but when you tot it all up, it reaches double that.
We are ripped off, and there is no excuse or reclaim.
Mr Ryan should have a policy re-think.

I have worked out that for say 10 folks travelling from Luton to Dublin are better off hiring a private job from McAlpine than booking a few pews from Ryan.

There we go.

Ryanair is run by a crook. Sometimes there's no choice, but if there is avoid them like the plague.
