Yeah, but if it is in your hand luggage(the stuff you actually carry on the plane IE newspapers, books, snacks?) has to be in a small see through plastic bag measuring 10 by 8 cm. You can carry as much liquid as you like in your hold baggage or main baggage that is in the lower compartment as long as it isn't explosive. You are reunited with your main luggage when you get off the plane and can do whatever you need to.
Important note: This may only apply to the UK.
Hope this helps.

Contact the airline and check their current policy as policy varies between airlines as well as departure and destination points.
In the UK the news reported just a few days ago that most of airlines operating in the UK will allow you to take 100ml bottles in your hand luggage and they must be stored inside a clear plastic bag and presented at the security barrier for inspection - the liquids they mentioned were shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, deodorant, toothpaste and mouthwash. It is unlikely perfume or cologne would be aloud due to the alcohol content.
If you need to take infant feeds, I suggest you get some pre-made cartons and just take an empty bottle as they can't really object to that but they could object if you take a home made bottle with you.

Everything you need to know about what you can take with you is on the TSA website. Maximum of 3oz containers in a clear 1qt plastic bag. 1 plastic bag per person. Prescribed medication only. The name on the meds must match the name on the travellers identification. Check as much non hazardous liquid as you like, as far as alcohol it is max of 5 liters per person. Alcoholic beverages with more than 70% alcohol content (140 proof), including
95% grain alcohol and 150 proof rum, are not permitted in your checked baggage

No, after the liquid bombs were found in that London plane, there is no carrying any outside liquids into the terminal. You can buy water or other drinks at shops inside the terminal, however.

Yes, you can take tooth paste, shampoo, shower gel, parfum... what you want, but in your hold baggage, not in your hand bag. If you need liquid stuffs in your hand bag, they must be in a very little see-through bag. When I took the plane in Paris to the UK, the measures were more restrictive. When I flew to Tunisia (Africa), they let people take their bottle of water with them in their hand bad!!! (what was not allowed to go to UK!!!)
And know that you cann't bring meat with you (sausage...). It's not allowed, otherwise the customs charge you!
