Pop into your local library or bookshop and browse through the Artists & Writers Yearbook. There should be a whole list of greeting card publishers and agencies to approach in there. You could also try this site:
http://www.artquest.org.uk/opportunities/september-2007.htm
There are often opportunities for photographers and, all in all, this is an extremely informative site for anyone in the visual arts. Follow up any photographic competitions which are advertised. If your national TV channel puts out a call for 'viewer's photographs', make sure yours are there! Take every 'chance' available; keep at it; never give up!
Good luck!!!

First off, there are no holidays that they can point to that are not religious based that need a greeting card. For those that want to start spouting off holidays, when was the last time you sent a greeting card for Memorial Day, President's Day or Labor Day? Birthdays came to be celebrated as a religious act to mark the change from boyhood or girlhood into adulthood. They have almost always been tied to religious events. (Note the Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah of Judeism, the Vestil Virgin induction ceremonies of the Romans, the Ballamamic rights of Passage practiced by the Babylonians and the list is still growing today.)

I would try to make some cards myself and shop them around your town to see if any of the local stores will let you put a rack up or try to sell them at the local outdoor markets around your town.. see if that brings you any closer to your goal.. the greeting card business is a real cut throat one and 99% of the images they use come from a stock house so you might also get your work submitted to a stock house and see where that takes you.
Good Luck!

personal feelings, artist flair and the technical ability to achieve it are different things,
straight up easiest way is to self publish,
are your images better than the thousands that the Pros submit each year?
EDIT: the eye eh, are your images technically strong - exposure etc? the eye? so has everyone on this forum you will read "i have the eye" or "i take good photos" here 5 times a day, I hear it from every client and their staff all the time: why do they pay me to make images they cant? because i can, anytime, any place , any lighting - use or making of, anyway im proberly wasting my time cause you have the eye right.

Hmm, well you can try applying to places like Hallmark, or at least contact them, see what they say.
Or you can try places like cafepress.com, as a quick and easy way of get your work out there, but that takes a lot of self-promotion.
Good luck!
