there are various variables in touch which you probably did no longer specify. the final rule is which you may complete the whole cycle of prescribed antibiotics in accordance with the learning of your scientific expert. you may no longer provide up taking the remainder element of the medicine considering which you sense greater appropriate. That contributes to micro organism mutations ensuing in strains of bacterial that are proof against antibiotics. Now for the alcohol. Alcohol washes many antibiotics out of your device. The alcohol would not produce a poisonous result with maximum antibiotics yet will in simple terms flush the antibiotics out of your device for this reason giving the micro organism a gamble to reproduce and re-set up an infection on your device. it incredibly is maximum suitable to no longer eat alcohol till when you have concluded all the cycle or prescription.

It depends on the specific antibiotic. Penicillins have no alcohol interaction, but for example metronidazole + antibiotics produces vomiting.

Alcohol can affect the absorption of the anti-biotics and slightly reduce their efficiency. So it's up to you really - depends how bad your infection is and how quickly you want it cleared up ha ha ha!
BUT BUT BUT and here is the big but - DO NOT drink if you have been given metranidazole - even a single beer will make you puke your guts up with this particular anti-biotic. Metranidazole is usually (but not always) prescribed for dental problems and urine infections. So check the leaflet, if it says *do not drink or you will be very ill!* or anything like that, then don't.

Defintely not - you will see the warning sign on the bottle/packet - it is there for a good reason - you lessen the effect of the antibiotics and you could get ill - wait until the course is finished then have a drink it is usually not that long and you will feel better for it

It's best not to as often the alcohol will often counteract the effects of the antibiotics.

If you drink alcohol, then the antibiotics will not be effective.
The full course must be taken, with no/very little alcohol(one beer/glass wine per day).

I think I read recently that it does not make any difference with antibiotics, but you can check with NHS direct.
