My friend is Korean and he's 25 years old, he's graduating from a mathematics and management course next year. Would his ambition to be an actuary in the States be feasible?

It would be. Start sending resumes to insurance co's, especially their corporate offices.

Start surfing their web sites, to find out where their HR operations are.Good luck!

Actuaries get credentialed by passing a series of math tests. If your friend has a strong math background, he should see about passing some of these tests, as that will look good on his resume. I think they're only offered once a year, though, so he'll have to wait.

Actuaries are statisticians. Insurance companies use actuaries. If he has taken statistics courses, he may get a job.
