The bad news is that if you want to lose weight on your hips, you have to lose it everywhere else, too. The good news is that hourglass figures are hot. :-)

Anyway, you lose weight on your hips by losing weight all over. The simplest way to do that is to eat less and exercise more. Be sure to include cardio and strength training. Muscle ups your metabolism, makes you stronger, and takes up less space than fat. Try yoga or Pilates to work on strengthening your core.

Bear in mind that you probably inherited your shape and won't be able to "spot-reduce" without surgery of some kind. While you're waiting around for the diet/exercise to start showing its effectiveness, focus on wearing flattering clothing that makes you feel sexy.
