haha Aki, you're funny. Since us Americans don't have uniforms, generally we end up spending quite a bit on school clothes. There is a fine line to walk between making sure your kids have cool fashionable clothes so they don't get picked on, and making sure they don't become fashion victims. I ended up spending about $250 on each of my kids this year, but they also had a big growth spurt over the summer so nothing fits anymore.

3xshirts $75
3xshorts$ 24
4xtracksuit pants(winter) $25
2xjumpers(winter)$14
2xlong sleeve tops (winter) $10

Plus shoes and socks $50
so that would equal just under $200 for the year but most will fit again next year. (except shoes and socks which will bring it up another $50+
She is at an australia public school in prep. I'm so glad I don't have to buy expensive private school uniforms and ours are unisex too, so my son can use all of it when he starts in 2.5yrs

I try to get my sons as cheaply as possible seeing as he grows out of things so quickly, I go to Asda and can normally get a couple of pairs of trousers, 2 jumpers and shirts for about £25. I'm lucky his uniform is very basic but when he goes to high school in another year it's going to cost me a fortune.

well, if you get all the uniform from Coes, it costs me about £60-£100
Then the school requires you have a certain type of P.E kit, which is an extra £80-£100
It's ridiculas really.
Of course, Americans don't need to spend more than $50, so they're alright there.
