There are sprays you can use on the yard that aren't toxic once they dry. You will have to spray once a week until you break the cycle. Start spraying from the house outward into your yard. Otherwise, you'll herd the fleas straight into your house. You can also use an aromatic in the dog's area like mint or lavender (which are non toxic to dogs), or eucalyptus leaves (which are toxic so be sure they are not in the dog's reach) sprinkled around. Fleas don't like the smell and will tend to stay away. Head for the vet's office and buy a once-a-month flea treatment that is applied to the back of the neck. This will give your dog the relief he deserves.

Pennyroyal actually smothers fleas, and their larvae, like if you put a plastic bag over your head.
Buy the oil, at a health food store, or on line.
You can get some faster by going to a health food store, but you can get it for about half as much on line. You can also rub the oil on your dog. Don't use it on cats as it is toxic. You can also plant the plants in your yard. I don't know where you live of if they will grow well in your area but you can check with your local nursery.

Mosquito Barrier is very strong liquid garlic made from very potent garlic cloves. The garlic used in Mosquito Barrier is a very powerful variety which is much more potent than the garlic found in grocery stores. Garlic has a natural sulfur which repels insects, including mosquitoes, ticks, fleas and even black flies. You can buy this on line.

Also cedar chips placed around your yard.

That is my suggestions for non-toxic natural items. Hope all works out well for you and your pet.

pour water then mix concentrated soap in a bucket splash it around the dogs area do that for a couple of days I mean thats a safer way then using powders or poison. Do that every couple of months to keep the fleas away there must be an infestation underground were your dog is staying.

You need to dust the area with seven dust, use 10% strength. You can dust your dog with seven dust, but only with the 5% strength powder.
