It's certainly been said before. I heard someone at a local church suggesting that Jesus was an "avatar", a spiritual being who came to humanity to teach lessons about spirituality. This person (and a number of others I've met) feel that Jesus, Krishna, Mohammed, Buddha, and other great spiritual figures are all avatars, or incarnations of the divine, who have appeared to many different people in different historical times to teach important spiritual lessons. I'm not saying that I necessarily believe that personally, but I've definitely heard it before, and many times.

People of importance pop up in the strangest of circumstance. I seem to show up whenever someone needs a scapegoat, but that doesn't answer the question. Jesus and the rest are all people who have an uncanny nack for stirring people in the most personal sense. Every now and then, this kind of action is needed in human life history to garner a change in the direction of society. The need for this stemms from the Human capacity for change and the innate desire for that change to come about. Without a catalyst such as Jesus and the rest, humans would stagnate and never become more than what they are.

honestly I used to believe this way it was a way of making myself feel better because i could not make up my mind and no one want to think God would send everyone to hell it just seems to awful.

The truth of the matter is that God message has been given to the entire world there are only 2 languages left that the Bible has not been translated into. It is said in the Bible that when
his word has spread to the entire world that's when he will return. only 2 translations left so chances are it will be sooner than later.

God is not intentionally damning unbelievers to hell this is a bad way to look at it.
He is taking his children home and anyone who refuses him
will have no other place to go but with Satan.
If you believe the Bible and have a true relationship with the Lord Jesus the things may become more clear and easier to understand. Try reading the Book of John in the new testament.

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Stepping up to a higher spiritual level requires a person to latch on to a Mentor, or a Master, or a Prophet that one can relate to and strive to follow.

To many --one out of every 3 people in the world today-- it is Jesus, the Christ. To others, it is Muhammad. To many, it is Buddha; and to some, either Lao Tze or Confucius. Others still prefer Moses; and a handful keep at it with Zoroaster. And so on, and so forth.

To each his or her own path to follow...

Peace be with you.

Make sure of all things! Only the Bible claims divine inspiration! Why not accept that and make the best of it? Why must everything else be an excuse to usurp that truth of truths?
