who said that you are having negative thoughts....!!! wait a moment...!

you are an excellent critique. do you know what I mean. The way you make this energy work for you is, whenever your mind think of something negative about anyone or anything, just write it down and don't speak out... End of the day, just read what you have written... guess what, you may picked up for evaluating things, persons, articles, movies etc.,

Don't worry about the current position. Practice this, you will certainly become a professional

Good Luck.

If you think of a thought, put it in a bucket.

"It doesn't matter. It's fine. Move on."

"That isn't for me to figure out."

"So what? Move on."

"Here is a solution to that issue/challenge............." and then solve it.

You have to be very intentional to catch yourself and redirect your thought.

Don't attempt this until you are really ready to move into action and remedy this. False starts will water down every future effort to stop this. Prepare and then when you are ready just do it!

You may be getting a benefit or payoff from being negative. Find out what that is and then be totally honest with yourself and say "I am not going to do this anymore. This hurts me overall a lot more than it gives me that payoff."

Work on you from the inside. Self esteem. Or stress manaement. Or boundaries with others. What is it for you? We all have something like this, it just depends on which of us are going to make our issue better or sit around in denial and pain.

Find out what you are passionate about and give your time to that.

Specificially each day journal about or verbally share with someone 1 good thing that happend to you or that you created. And then 1 good thing that happened to someone else that you know or read. Practice infusing positivity into your life and conversations. Instead of asking about gossip ask about family, hobbies, books read, goals, etc.

To look at it from a positive standpoint, try to do more GOOD things and that will start to outweigh the bad. The things you concentrate on (like the good, the positive) will continue to multiply.

So give your attention and focus to the good instead of the other way around, if you really want that to flourish.

:-) Great luck to you!! The fact that you are asking this shows that you can overcome this!

Negative thoughts are poisons in your body. Get rid of them now and and at once. Maybe you are full of bitterness about people, events, situation, etc. and you are only swallowing them interiorly. You attitude is not pleasant. So, whenever you encounter like this, face the person who criticizes you and dialog with him or her. Tell him/her that you are displease of what had happened or ask sorry or speak words of forgiveness always so that you will not store bad memories into your mind.
Cultivate the habit of talking at once when circumstances, events, difficulties, persons, etc. are coming into your minds and they are bothering you and share them with others, your friends. Then take to heart what is suggested to you in the yahoo answers. Consult a priest and seek advice. Good luck!

As long as the mental behaviour still remains negative, then the worldly life will go downhill relentlessly, and the spiritual life will not progress any further as well.
Every time you've negative thought, stop it and try to be aware of your breath regularly until it becomes automatic to a certain level, you will be amazed that all sorts of mental problems have subsided. Negative will gone as well.

Dear friend, one thing is certain. You are really balanced and you possess all the requirements that go alongwith an ultimate successful personality. Yes. Your own statement shows that you are able to differentiate between positive and negative thoughts. That shows your faculties are in good order and condition. It is a gift. The next thing is build up your self confidence. That is the secret. my friend. Critisism, shame, etc. are often faced by one and all. It is a common feature in the society. Rub them away with self confidence and go with your performance, and, and, be a winner.

you must be overcautious, if must be having lots of "if's" when you think about a situation and you avoid it. if i guessed it right,
its common in many who has tough life living. the best way is to analyse your self.
read good books on positive thoughts,
read a book named "in the sphere of silence" by dato vijay eswaran.(a successful business man, author, teamleader etc).
practice the thought programme between 5 to 6 pm in the morning.
it might be tough for a week or two. but once you become used to it you would be feeling light if sombody says you to construct a quitib minar also. the answer of "if" would be replace by simple options.

start practicing yoga, read the above book without fail.

I did and I used to listen to every negative word anybody ever said to me and take it in and except it. I felt like a bunch of dirty old rags till God told me to stop. Now what people say to me does not really matter as I fell quite comfortable in myself.
